I'd like to just share what's going on with the Emma update!
I've been in my writing cave for quite a while now and things are finally looking great on my side! The sections are going quite well with a lot of interesting and unique dynamics between characters, a lot of hints at things to come and very event and expression driven. Not as much waiting to get to the nitty gritty.
Due to the sheer scope of things, however, we're going to split Emma's update into two parts:
Update 1
This update contains about 75-80% of the content of the entire Emma update. The script for this update is complete and we're just waiting for the images to catch up to it. There will be about 80 CG images for this update and will contain most the story setup, clues, choices and pathing. 80 CGs is a huge number by itself, Annie's update was about 80 as well. The ratio of images to dialogue is a lot higher too so you won't feel like you're waiting as much for the visuals!
Update 1 is scheduled for completion as early as next weekend! We'll try our best to aim for a release then!
Update 2
The remaining percentage of the content will be added in a follow-up update which will be shortly after Update 1. This update's script is nearly done too with a few sections remaining. The number of CGs in this will also be plentiful, though not as big as Update 1. This update will also include video upgrades to all of the content of Emma's update!
Update 2 is approximated to release 2 weeks after Update 1.
The reason why there's a split update is because the total number of CGs and videos on our to-do list has grown very large, so it was between more delaying or splitting it up. Update 1 doesn't end where I'd like it to end either so I wanted to pull through and put forward a big and quality update and this is the best way I could manage everything!
Content Teaser
For those of you unfamiliar with Emma's original story, and for those of you wanting to know a bit more about the story, this is a slight tease on some of the main cast of Emma's story.
Our main heroine returns but the cast around her has shaken up drastically. Emma is a happy-go-lucky cafe and coffee shop employee. She's hard-headed at times but cheerful, supportive and despite what people think about gingers, she definitely has a soul! She's always thinking about how she can help the people close to her to a point where she's ready to put herself on the line! Sometimes, she wishes that someone would take care of her for a change.
Austin is Emma's boyfriend and partner in crime. He's a bit shy and withdrawn when it comes to socializing, especially in public, but he's also a year younger than Emma. He and Emma have big life goals and chip away at them in their own small way. His heart is a little too big sometimes and doesn't want to disappoint anyone.
Jenny is Emma's long time best friend. Kind, gentle, soft-spoken and extremely caring are the kinds of things people around Jenny call her. She's never been in a relationship before but Emma pushed her hard to finally get a dating app. She fumbled around with it and... ended up with a boyfriend!? Not knowing a thing about the dating world, Emma is curious to see what sort of fish was pulled out of the sea.
What sort of experiences will the trio go through!?
