Hey everybody
First I want to kind of apologise for no content... but I guess this is also kind of content, right?
And second I should do the right thing and say that this will have spoilers for Three Garridebs.
Thanks so much to everybody that got in touch after what happened. I hate to say it but not much has really changed so far. John has not yet woken up, he could be really hurt, or maybe he is getting some long rest after doing a show every week!?
I'm in his hospital room a lot of the time. I kind of just sit there talking to him. I read things out from the discord. I do football results too. That's not as interesting as the discord messages. So many nice emails from literally all over the world. I get pictures of Archie from Carol too along with her voicenotes so I give him those updates as best I can.
Sherlock and I have gone straight into the next adventure.
It just happened. Like things always do with Sherlock.
I couldn't exactly leave him to it. As you can guess he is totally not himself. Well... I guess he is himself actually but also not himself. Only you guys will understand what I mean by that. He's built a big fort in 221b. Made of cushions and tables and sheets. He keeps staring out at the house opposite that has been empty for some time. Occasionally he babbles things that don't make sense to me, other times they kind of make sense if I really think hard about it. He's not great, but I know a case may make him better. I can't make John better but I can at least give Sherlock-healing a try right!
I give you this update not to scare you or disappoint. I just think John would want me to. I don't think there was a day that went by where he didn't talk about you guys. Sometimes he'd name specific people that had sent an email, made something, drawn something, said something that made him laugh or made him think.
I know he's probably having dreams about all of us - so I wanted to make sure that I could kind of make that a two-way thing. And let you know how he is doing.
So this is me. Saying sorry again - but at least it looks like we'll have an adventure for next week. I hope you enjoy it and can still appreciate the show without your usual host featuring at all. He is actually there in some moments - he's just asleep.
