Hey everyone,
First and foremost, I want to extend my deepest thanks to all of you. I know I’ve been away for quite a while, and I’m sorry I couldn’t stay in touch.
Over the past years and months, I had some personal and family matters come up, as well as other professional commitments that needed my full attention. On top of that, I was facing some mental health challenges, which made it difficult for me to stay active on Patreon or even respond to your kind messages. I apologize for not being there and for leaving messages unanswered; please know that every single message and every bit of support truly lifted my spirits.
To everyone who continued to support me through this time, I’m incredibly grateful. Since I wasn’t able to be here or provide new content, I felt it was only right to donate the contributions from this period. In total, 2,500€ went to Greenpeace and 2,100€ to UNICEF — my way of giving back to the causes I care about and of saying thank you for your continued generosity.
Lately, I’ve been spending some time experimenting with DAZ3D again, and I realized how much I enjoy it! Unfortunately, I no longer have access to my old resources because my DAZ3D account was deleted, but I see this as an opportunity to switch over to newer models and features. However, I’m currently working on a notebook rather than a dedicated PC, which means rendering videos takes a lot longer. Just rendering the short teaser video attached to this post took over 72 hours — and that was without any complex textures or backgrounds! So, one of my priorities will be setting up a new PC to speed up the rendering process. I’m also a bit rusty with the software, so note that the teaser video is still a work in progress and doesn’t yet showcase the highest quality I’m aiming for. I’m still getting back into the software, so please bear with me as I continue to improve my skills and workflow.
As I rebuild my DAZ library, if anyone has recommendations for quality textures or models, I’d love to hear about them and will gladly add them to my collection! For now, though, I want to ask for your understanding if I can’t respond to messages immediately. I’ll do my best to catch up little by little as I get back into the swing of things.
I’d also love to hear your ideas for the next video! Feel free to comment here with any suggestions, or send them to me directly. I’ll choose a few ideas to put up for a community vote, so we can decide together on the next direction.
Thank you once again for being here and for being such an incredible community. I’m excited to start creating with you again!
Much love,
Victor
