Thank you for your patience waiting for this update - the music part took particularily long to get right. Never the less, you can expect a fun diverse package with this update with some special surprises! π
It is called "Chapter 3 0.3" for simplicity but it actually updates Chapter 1 and 2 as well!
Here's an overview of what you'll find in this update:
1) (Almost) complete music overhaulAll stock songs have been replaced with original music! π΅ This change might be a bit jarring at first when you played the game for a while already and are used to the existing tracks, but I think overall it is an improvement and gives the game a more personal note (literally).Also, as I own the copyright for all songs now, I can potentially release an official game soundtrack at one point βΊοΈ.
2) Chapter 3 - Clara Ending - 3 new "spicy" scenesπ¦As the "Clara/Romance" ending lacked a bit in sexy content compared to the "Volta" ending, I took some extra effort to add 3 new explicit scenes! You can replay this ending to experience them at the following points in the story:- Reverse Cowgirl scene: After the shootout at the camp- Enhanced titfuck: In the storage room at the museum- Limo sex: On the ride back to the manor in the post-credit sceneIn addition, the museum sex scene is now also looped and can be continued on demand instead of ending abrubtly.
3) Chapter 2 - Overhauled donation systemA new mechanic has been implemented where your loads "accumulate" when you pass a day without cumming. This will result in different sized cumshots into the donation bowl that Clara will also comment on, accordingly π. With the right strategy, this can make opening the tomb door less grindy, as you can quickly pass a few days via sleeping to "charge your balls".
4) Autoforward FeatureYou can now enable the "Autoforward" feature in the settings. This will allow you to have dialogue voiceovers and text move forward automatically without having to confirm/click each line.I checked some edge cases where this was resulting in strange behaviour during interactive scenes and fixed those, however, there might still be some of those cases left so please let me know in case you use this feature and come across bugs or unwanted behaviour.
5) "Treasure Hunter 2" Platformer MinigameOk this one needs some explanation π. I always appreciate it when bigger games contain smaller games, like the "Roach Race" minigame in Cyberpunk 2077 or the games you can play at arcade machines in Grand Theft Auto and Yakuza.So I thought, why not having a shot at this for ToD, which is also an interesting technical experiment because Ren'Py, the engine ToD runs on, is very much tailored for visual novels and not a classic game engine like Unity or Godot.Anyways, the result is "Treasure Hunter 2" and still in it's infancy (more of a tech demo to be honest), but mostly works and is already sort of fun π. If you have some ideas how to make it more interesting, let me know in the comments below! πNOTE 1: You can toggle between 30 and 60 FPS but 60 FPS is only recommended on good hardware, can be slow/sluggish otherwise, especially on mobile devices.NOTE 2: Right now you can only access it via the gamepad in the first scene at home after the newspaper dropped. I plan to also add it to the home scenes in Chapter 3 in the future, and maybe also via the gallery.NOTE 3: On PC, it's best to jump with spacebar. You can also click the controller but right now it only reacts when you release the mouse button, which can feel a bit unresponsive. Still trying to fix this, so the character jumps directly on mouse click.
Aside from these major additions, some smaller ones are in this update too:- improved mobile main screen and font sizes- improved Clara's face in the Volta deepthroat scene in the museum to better fit the look of the other artworks- fixed some spelling and continuity errors
As always, video versions of the animations and some other improvements are due for the public release.
