Somewhere in rural Japan... closed access to the Honcho demo is available!
Thank you all for your patience with this. The demo is now available for all paid Patreons. Here’s how it works:
If you’ve ever pledged at the Support Honcho tier ($10 or more), you should receive a link to access the build on itch.io.
If you’ve cancelled but previously supported, you will still receive a link.
The itch.io build is currently a ZIP file, as I’m above the 1 GB limit. I’ve reached out to Itch to try to lift the limit, but we’ll see how that goes.
What does the demo contain?
One Inaka Prefecture and delivery missions.
Full vehicle simulation elements with all current vehicle components accessible through RNG looting.
The demo does not contain the late-game vending machine elements.
Probably some bugs, but it's been tested a fair bit.
What about the full game?
Honcho is a big game, it'll take time to add the remaining environments, components and systems.
I want to give a Steam key to anyone who has donated $20 or more. This is dependent on Steam's terms of service, and their willingness to send out keys, so I can't currently promise this but it is what I'd like to do.
Why not NextFest?
You're only allowed to put your game into one Steam Next Fest, so we're holding off until the game is closer to release. A demo will eventually make its way to Steam Next Fest, but I'm not sure when.
Anyway, tell your friends, tell your family, tell your bodega cats. Honcho has a trailer. And they should all wishlist it!
