Anthony Conroy, the wolf alpha to Jay’s Lover - who she now knows is her best friend from high school - begged Jay to give up on her relationship with the Young Pup in order to save both him and her. He couldn’t bear it if there was more blood spilled because of his inability to act. He already blames himself for the Young Pup being turned. He does not wish for his death, or the death of his lover.
Jay, not wanting to know she caused her friend’s death, agrees to leave. Worse still, she called up her parents and told them to pick out a fiance for her. She didn’t care who it was. She just wanted to get away from Bear Valley as far as possible. To put all of this wolf nonsense, her boyfriend, and her parents behind her and make them all nothing but memories buried in a haze.
Unfortunately for Jay, Liam, the Rival Alpha - whose daughter Jay killed to save her lover - doesn’t intend to let this one slide so easily.
