These are tests for "Softperfect". Use these references for your Lagswitch tests.

🎮 1. Poor Wi-Fi (2.4GHz, wall interference)

👉 Typical home user far from the router

Settings:

Latency: 40–70 ms

Jitter: 10–25 ms

Packet Loss: 0.5% – 2%

Packet Corruption: 0.05% – 0.2%

Burst Loss: Enabled (short spikes)

In-game effect (e.g. Counter-Strike 2):

jittery enemy movement

inconsistent hit registration

micro teleporting

📶 2. Unstable 4G / Mobile Network

👉 Player on cellular data with fluctuating signal

Settings:

Latency: 60–120 ms

Jitter: 20–50 ms

Packet Loss: 1% – 3%

Packet Corruption: ~0.1%

Burst: ENABLED (very important)

💡 Simulate bursts like:

2–3 seconds of bad connection every 10–20 seconds

In-game effect:

random stuttering

shots not registering

inconsistent delay

🌐 3. Congested ISP / Peak Hours (Bufferbloat)

👉 “Normal” connection under heavy load

Settings:

Base Latency: 30–50 ms

Jitter: 5–15 ms

Packet Loss: 0.2% – 1%

Packet Corruption: ~0.02%

Bandwidth Limit: Enabled (near saturation)

In-game effect:

ping spikes under load

delayed shooting response

“heavy” or sluggish feeling

🔌 4. Faulty Cable / Bad Hardware

👉 Physical/network interface issues

Settings:

Latency: 20–40 ms

Jitter: 2–8 ms

Packet Loss: ~0.5%

Packet Corruption: 0.2% – 0.5% (higher here)

In-game effect:

weird glitches

inconsistent data updates

unpredictable behavior

☠️ 5. Severe Lag (Competitive worst-case)

👉 Frustrating ranked experience (e.g. Call of Duty)

Settings:

Latency: 80–150 ms

Jitter: 20–40 ms

Packet Loss: 2% – 5%

Packet Corruption: 0.1% – 0.3%

Burst: ENABLED

In-game effect:

dying behind cover

major delay

broken hit registration

🧠 Pro Tip (Important for Server Testing)

Avoid using only static values.

👉 Real players experience:

variable jitter

small constant packet loss

occasional bursts

💡 Best realistic combo:

low packet loss + jitter + intermittent bursts

This is much closer to real-world conditions than fixed packet loss alone.
