UPDATE: As has become annual tradition, I forgot about Easter and elderly relatives, but the upload will be right after!
Hey everyone!
So the System Shock Remake video is coming along, and naturally it got a patch earlier in the week but nothing too disruptive thankfully. It mainly cleaned up a lot of bug bites in the game along with some annoyances I was having in the audio, so all good news there! This is mainly a matter of just replacing a few bits of relevant footage which isn't too disruptive. Just today System Shock 2 anniversary also got a substantial patch as well including some of the included mods being updated which was also welcome, along with some pretty massive changes to multiplayer. Truth be told this was something I was -really- getting ready to dig into since the disconnects, freezing, and other general issues seemed absolutely no better than when I played it on Hamachi many years ago with friends, so this will be something I'll need to give another spin now that the thing is actually functioning how it should have on launch. In any case the remake video is on course for next week, and System Shock 2 shouldn't be far behind, but likely not back to back at this point.
I'm considering having a small video between the two System Shock ones since the jump to 2 won't be as soon as I wanted it now. I was hoping to have something like a repeat of October where there'd be 3 videos in about 4 weeks roughly, though this is slipped by without compromising on something I think. This one would be on a game less than an hour (and free!) so a bit of an experiment. The videos have trended longer as much as I do try to edit down to what I feel is best without rambling too much, and while I don't think I'll ever be entering the territory of something like 3 minutes long having a few others around the 10 minute range would be welcome between the bigger games and videos. The Callisto Protocol DLC one was sort of in that territory, so something I think I'd like to try to aim for more when it seems like a good fit. Sometimes it can be hard to gauge from the length of the game itself, since SOMA is definitely one of the shorter games I've covered that had a runtime of over an hour since it was just dense enough for that.
So not much to update on except that the work continues, thanks so much for your continued support!
