San Diego Comic-Con is happening this week. I exhibited from 2004 to 2010 and attended as a guest back in 2015. I saw it grow from an uber-popular event to the mega-influential behemoth it eventually became. I think its power has diminished somewhat due to media companies like Disney holding their own events such as D23, but it still captures the attention of many around the world. Coveted panels held at Hall H can power marketing campaigns and still surprise fans with announcements and previews.
Having been such a large part of my life during the aughts it is strange to ask aloud if it's possible I might not ever attend the show again? I trust that is not the case and I can find a way to set up and promote my creative wares there once more one day. Or perhaps I will show up as a fan myself and marvel at all of the wonders geekery and nerddom have on display...
