You might have noticed I have uploaded Attack on Titan finale episodes. That wraps it up, we are done with Attack on Titan. I have so many thoughts, but most of all I think I am a little sad. Spoilers for those who haven't seen it. I wish it ended differently for Mikasa. Ever since the beginning I wished her well, I thought it'd be good enough if she survived, but I never realised there are fates worse than death and I think being by Eren's grave her entire life might just be that, even if she doesn't see it that way, even if she (?) re-married? To Jean? Uncertain. I wish Eren lived, is what I am trying to say. His motivations weren't as clear to me. To perform a genocide to protect his friends doesn't seem reasonable even for an extreme person such as Eren, but maybe I am missing something. I think the ultimate lesson - that his fate couldn't be changed, that he had to die? That could have been a different one. Perhaps a lesson of forgiveness or redemption? Again, maybe I am missing the point here. I rated Attack on Titan 10/10 despite being a little underwhelemed by the ending itself. Still it was one of the best shows I have ever watched.
