Hello. This is an insightful video that demostrates the need to art-direct the shots or scenes. Basically if you have a toon shaded model, correcting it in BLENDER using Grease pencil should be EASIER to "paint over". You don't need extra modules or renders, because the scene and acting has been locked "per shot" thus, making it completely natural to see it as a 2D animation even though it uses 3D for the characters.
