Hey everyone!
Here's my latest progress on the next set. As I mentioed I made a full seating set with a sofa, a loveseat and an armchair so they will be usable for living rooms as well.
With this set my goal is to create a cozy corner where sims can sit and read the books they bought so I wanted these to look really comfy. I added some decorative cushions too that will come in the same colors as the seating options.
What items I made
I made a small side table, and while my original idea was to go for a more vintage look, I didn’t want to make it too complicated and I think it's more usable like this. I made it a reasonable size and not too massive because I'm always in a need of a small side table.
Another new item is the ceiling lamp, and surprisingly, I spent a lot of time on the textures and transparency to get the look I wanted.
Last things new things are the wall panels and flooring. I already made the wallpaper earlier when I made the welcome desk set but I didn't have time to finish it but I thought I won't let it go to waste and include it in this set.
What's coming next
Lastly, some exciting news! I read all your comments about the direction of the new collection, and even though I had a few days of uncertainty, the idea finally came together in my head. I’ll tell you more about it later, but the overall direction is a renovated Victorian family home. The exterior will be more traditional, while the interior will be designed in a transitional style with a lived-in look. At least that's my plan now. I got inspired to make a family friendly home and some of you suggested kids, teen things so that's why I came up with this idea. And I'm sorry, but I'll make windows and doors for this collection too because I'm itching to do some Victorian inspired pieces. Thank you for all the suggestions it helped me settle on something that inspires me! Right now I know I want to continue with this new collection after I finish the last Quiet Corner set but I may do Sunwoven inbetween the new ones so we can continue that one as well.
