Supplies:Please note: This workshop is structured as a lecture and demonstration series, so you’ll be able to follow along and gain full value from the lessons even if you don’t purchase any supplies. That said, I know some of you may want to experiment with the colors I’ll be using as examples—or even recreate some of the visual aids I’ll be demonstrating. For that reason, I’m including a complete list of the materials I’ll be using during the workshop. Please don’t feel obligated to purchase everything on this list. Many of the colors I’ll be demonstrating with can be mixed using other pigments, and part of what we’ll explore in this workshop is exactly how this works. To help you decide which colors are worth investing in, I’ve included a "utility score” from 0–3 for each item, based on its usefulness for general painting beyond this workshop.
