Heyooo here's the movie update of this week!! :DAs always the WiPs has been uploaded in the "Other folder" on Dropbox.
General newsIn the last week I've been posing all the remaining scenes to animate so I can get a clear idea of all the work that's left. There's a bit of work left to be honest, mostly the final sex scene with tentacles but I still think it's doable before the end of the month. In worst case I'll take a few days from next month too to finish the last bit before sending the whole thing for voicing, mostly cause I still have to finish Grace animation and render it.
This was probably the most fun week of work on the movie so far as I managed to work on all the SFW scenes I was looking forward to. On top of that having a clear vision on all the works that's left really gives you a nice perspective on things and lift a huge amount of stress from your shoulders.
Composition improvements during this projectI feel like I truly improved a lot during this journey when it comes to composition, lighting and camera angles. I have started using more wide-angles when I was a massive telephoto (zoomed in) Andy, overall expanding my vision over how to capture the scenes.
When it comes to lighting I have experimented and learned a lot when it comes to cinematic lighting which is importantly to distinguish from sex scenes lighting. In my opinion, Cinematic lighting brings more meaning, realism and a total prioritisation on beauty and composition. While NSFW Scenes lighting still puts great value on those elements, the priority in this case is most of the times: clarity. In nsfw scenes it's important for the sex or act to be visible and clear unless the intention is to hide something. I think the sex scenes lighting is way closer to a studio lighting: controlled, clear and fabricated.
What's left:
Right now I have 3 scenes left to animate:- The tentacles scene which will take me 5-6 days I think.- The conversation between Shart & Viconia- The Githyanki interrogation scene
And that would be it for this month. The rest will be animated after voicing. Mostly lips sync, facial expressions and dialogue focused scenes that can't be animated without the lines.
Next monthOnce again I can't wait for next month! :D
While the movie is getting voiced I'll be back on the normal schedule, there's been sooo many animations I've been wanting to do in these months and can't wait to work on them! Will surely try my best to cook some nice stuff! :D
