This little illustration was sketched, inked, colored, and shaded all directly on the Bristol board in about 90 minutes. I did so during a 3-hour art jam with Brian Reynolds during his visit to my studio space! What a dream! It was a red-letter day.
I've always admired his direct hands-on approach to generating a beautiful ink and marker illustration. Doing so with him at my side was a form of art healing - maybe I can recuperate that ability to quickly produce.
Anyway, I thought I'd make a little upload as I know it's been a while since a major Patreon post. There's a lot of art that's about 80% complete and soon ready for some uploads here - including four additional pages of the paw-kink comic.
Well, I think this little Bristol board pad will get some use in the field. If I can refresh some of my Copic collection - I could potentially take some at-con commissions for small character poses. That or I could simply generate lots of little pinups for a future art show.
