I know what you're really here for: my rambling and unreasonably strong opinions about 2010s era Sci fi rpg Mass Effect. First off they never ever ever should have shown tali's face the mysterious and unknown nature of her physical appearance is a core part of her charm and and no face they could have given her would be as fun as the mystery of never seeing her real face, and secondly if they had to give her a face it should have been way more alien and weird like it should have been just been really fucked up because A) I think it would have been really really really funny B) Mass Effect should have had more fucked up aliens C) we already have the sexy babe aliens with the Asari let's see something else thirdly I think it's silly that they changed tali's portrait in the legendary edition I thought the original portrait was fine (aside from my previous grievances vis a vis showing her face in the first place and her just having a regular humanoid face) furthermore, now that I think about it I preferred the original portrait because it at least had her alien hands and more face/neck markings the new portrait is just like a human woman with pale green skin like cmon that's nothing also there's nothing wrong with just editing a stock photograph for an asset some people called it lazy but like cmon have you ever made a video game you have to make like ten million things and it takes forever if you don't do anything to make it even slightly easier you'll go bonkers obvious tali is best girl but wrex, mordin, and legion should have also been romanceable
