Development continues to go well, thank you all for being a part of this journey!
For a more operational update, we’ve spent the past few months upgrading our Unity version and tools so we could use a set of features we didn’t have access to before.
Partway through development, we had to make a call to either build those features ourselves, or take the risk and upgrade. If you know game dev, you know updating Unity mid-project can get messy fast… Still, we felt it was worth it for the game we’re trying to make!
Good news: it paid off! The upgrade went smoothly, and we’re already putting those new features to work across the project. It’s opening up a lot of possibilities for how the game looks and feels, and giving both our tech team and writers more freedom to build things the way we’ve been imagining.
Everyone’s contributions (your feedback, your fanart, your comments, and even just your presence) have been so helpful and we can’t thank you enough for playing your part.
Your support is invaluable as we continue to develop TOUCHSTARVED and we look forward to bringing you more in the coming months! ❤️ Now onto the fun stuff - some art previews!

I have plenty of thoughts about this tentacle-y sketch of Ais but none of them are appropriate, so I’ll let you fill them in yourself LOL.
On a more wholesome note, I’m in love with how big and angry his brows are (the slit on his right brow too…. yum 🤤) and now my Pokopia-brain needs to see him and Princess with a Browt! 😭
Check out one of these Adderstone recruitment posters! There are plenty of these posters around Eridia and they’ll have different content you can check out as you explore and progress in the game 🤭
This is also one of the new types of assets we’re bringing into the game. We’ve mentioned it as a possibility back in our recent September update: props! Like we’ve said, TOUCHSTARVED has grown far beyond what we originally imagined, largely thanks to your support. Because of that, we’ve been looking for more ways to deepen the world and make it feel lived-in.
Props might not be the flashiest addition, but to us, these smaller details are where the world starts to feel real and where secrets can be tucked away. Especially when our love interests have so much to hide…
And last but not least, here’s a background preview of a room that you probably don’t want to be in! I don’t know what happened to the last person, but I sure as hell don’t wanna find out 😭

We’ve heard all your requests and we’re excited to say that we’ll be releasing the Chapter 1 Preview here on Patreon sometime later this April 🎉
While we are still determining exact dates and logistics, the Ch1 Preview will be available as an optional one-time purchase for a flat fee soon. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we explore this and can’t wait to hear your thoughts!
