DESCRIPTION

The sound of screams of terror and people dying in mass was all I needed to know HK-47 was on the job. The droid was a menace… To their enemies.

The droid was deadly in every way, and the upgrades done to his body made him even more of a menace. Most beings in the galaxy would be hard-pressed to have a prayer against the droid in a fight, let alone an assassination attempt.

I figured my murder machine could use some relief since, besides the battle on Quell, he hasn’t gotten out much to stretch his legs. Not like anyone was going to miss a bunch of pieces of shit like these guys still working for the Hutts after having killed any ‘rebels’ like the people who wanted them to follow Jabba’s example.

Pitou herself was nearby a couple of rooms from me, slicing apart any of the Hutts' forces. She was close enough to satiate her need to be near me in case something happened but also far enough to not be breathing down my neck.

A man needed his space after all.

I walked along, abandoning my cloak, tossing it onto the fresh dead body I left behind. The only act of kindness anyone would receive from me. A side step and a volley of heavy blaster fire blew chunks from the wall, peppering the surroundings.

I lazily looked over towards a heavy blaster turret with five more around it. “Surrender and-”

A swipe of my hand and they stopped speaking, lips moving for a brief moment as their mind didn’t understand that they were now dead. Walking up the steps as the blood sprayed out. The sound of flesh and metal falling greeted my ears with me walking past the sliced chunks of meat that were once… something.

I wasn’t going to call these guys people. Knowing who they worked for and what they had done under their master's orders. They were far from being called a person.

Hands slammed into another door, the metal groaned and protested for a second before it was torn free, the doors slamming and breaking who knows how many valuables when tossed unceremoniously behind me.

A quick breath that was second nature to me by this point, and I walked through a barrage of blaster fire. The hiss of something flying through the air had my interest. Three missiles.

A big smile formed on my face. Alright, now they've got me a little excited. Some variety in how I style on them would make this even more satisfying. It made any idiot thinking he was him when he was in fact not him that much more satisfying at the realization they just tried to fight someone well beyond anything they could ever hope to face. Let alone win.

Rushing forward, a flex in my legs was followed by a light hop, and I was on one missile, my leg snapping out and kicking another, making it twirl in the air using just enough force that it would be reversed and fly straight back where it came from.

The other two missiles with a wave of each hand were sliced clean apart, both from a combination of my newly acquired skills in hand to hand and using my ability to enhance the cuts.

The two missiles crashed into a wall but didn’t explode, the detonator for both was severed, so they were mostly harmless. The last sailed back to its home before a warm welcome for all in the form of fire erupting from its embrace.

I rushed forward, ducking and dodging all of the blaster fire from those left alive without losing any momentum. If anything, I’d say I was getting faster. Despite the men getting knocked back by the explosion, they knew well enough to not let me get close. The issue was they couldn’t do anything about that.

A low kick and dashing past a man who just had his legs severed at the knee, and another, an uppercut open-knife hand that cut through the blaster barrel and over the man’s face. Rushing past the two, the man on the floor screamed till his lungs gave out as blood sprayed across the floor, and the other stumbled back for a brief moment before his face, along with a third of his skull, slid off onto the floor.

The others were simple to handle. I could have speed-blitzed half the tower by this point and killed everyone in my way before they even knew what was happening. I didn’t because I wanted to send a message. Everyone would know of what happened here and me having a… Civil conversation with the Hutt rulers.

Every room or chamber I went through, the guards began to become more sparse. One chamber several floors below me had at least fifty guards. None of them survived, besides the few that were now crippled for life with broken spines or limbs so badly damaged they couldn’t hope to crawl away, let alone use any fine motor control.

The survivors I was feeling particularly spiteful towards. So they would live short but painful lives. That’s if you can call what they would be subject to as a life.

But after several rooms with no guards as I went from floor to floor, occasionally finding dead servants and slaves that, from what the few guards I had forced through excruciating pain and the reward for said pain to stop was death, said the Hutts didn’t want Jabba releasing any of their property.

My hands clenched and unclenched, a roaring inferno in me at witnessing so much evil. A large part of me blamed myself for the deaths of all those people. Had I acted sooner, they would still be alive.

Sucking in a lot of air before releasing it in one massive exhale, I made myself calm down. The heat that clenched my heart was still there, but it was manageable. The guilt remained, but I pushed on, carrying the weight I felt for what could have been done.

With the Byakugan active, I could see it all happening above and below me. Both Pitou and HK were easily clearing anyone I didn’t deal with. While HK wasn’t as fast nor as powerful as Pitou and I, he more than made up for it in his efficiency and brutality. He was holding back, that much I knew when he could handle fighting six Magnaguards on his own.

He had fought against some of them, and it showed just how capable he was when he only took minimal damage with neither side having any advantage beyond the Magnaguards' numbers.

Pitou… It wasn’t even fair to make it a contest. She decimated everything and anything in her path. HK took his time savoring it all. Pitou only slowed down on two occasions when she was fighting against people who were capable of putting up a slightly better fight.

Any of the rank and file she just ripped apart. A cocaine addict finding themselves in a warehouse filled to the brim with their greatest desire. A hurricane of claws, inhuman strength and speed, and flashes of a lightsaber carving through them faster than a man could blink.

It was only after I entered the chamber where some of the Hutts sat on throne-like pedestals that I think I knew why most of the guards were not around and the Hutts remained inside their chamber.

They perked up the instant they saw me as the door opened with a near-silent hiss. Several figures wearing form-fitting uniforms that hugged their skin that were black and gray with gold edgings. The outfits looked… Alright.

More style than substance. Meant to look cool and intimidating and nothing more. Even then they looked more like cheap knockoffs of the outfits I had made for the Quiet Hand.

The figures were from varying species, seven of them in total. Mostly men, with a few women sprinkled in. They were capable, Byakugan seeing the injuries and scars they had earned over the course of what had been a hard life filled with dangerous trials.

Four human men, a male Trandoshan, and the two women were a Zabrak and another of a species I knew from being around a few back on Tatooine. The last was a Theelin female with blood red hair that contrasted with the pale white of her skin that had pink dots sprinkled across it.

The group was armed to the teeth. Some have plenty of blasters, and others have various melee weapons consisting of various daggers and swords.

The seven looked cocky, and even through Haki, I could feel the smugness and arrogance coming from them. Some remained close to their Hutt masters. Some were here in the flesh, and others had flickering holograms. They laughed, some booming and others nasally.

“So you’re Tobi… I thought you’d be taller.” A human male that walked closer flanked by three others that stood behind him at his sides. He had stubble growing around his jawline and piercing green eyes that looked me over with a critical eye. His eyes crinkled in amusement when he saw no lightsaber or weapon on my person.

The man who groomed his growing beard with hair swept back in a messy look leaned back casually. Just chatting up an old acquaintance and talking about how life has been amazing for him and how he was the best there was in what he did.

I snorted. A chuckle escaped me, and those around me hearing it had their smiles turn thin. Who I presumed to be the leader of their group laughed alongside me.

“So… You guys are supposed to stop me?” I gestured to the various members in mirth, laughing at them.

Some got tense and knew they were being mocked. The leader who wouldn’t look out of place at a cantina for smugglers didn’t let it bother him.

“Yep. That would be us. The Council's Fist.”

“Oh my god, you even tried copying Jabba on the name!” I threw my head back and guffawed at the shameless attempt to try and copy Jabba.

That comment drew the smuggler short as he glanced back at the Hutts, who now had stopped laughing and were glaring in my direction.

“WOW, you guys are some pathetic losers. Ha ha ha! I mean, c'mon, you can’t tell me you couldn’t think of anything original and just decided to copy Jabba… No wonder he rules you idiots.”

“Careful now… You're surrounded, and while we may not have fought the Republic, we have faced and killed Jedi.” Two of the others to his side stepped up with weapons half drawn from their holsters and sheaths.

He wasn’t lying. I could tell that much. It would have been intimidating for anyone else that wasn’t me or one of the better fighters in the galaxy. A normal person, if they knew he was telling the truth, would be intimidated since even killing a less than average Jedi wasn’t a simple thing.

“Hey Pitou, you hear that? They think killing a normal Jedi is intimidating. What do you think?” I turned towards my companion who had gotten into the room both quiet and fast enough none of them even noticed while using Zetsu.

They all tensed up as the Trandoshan aimed a grenade launcher at her as she lounged on a nearby pillar rail, swaying lazily over the edge.

She smiled before giggling. “I think the Hutts got desperate and picked those with the biggest mouths from the trash on the streets.”

The chamber went silent. The seven figures, including the only one to speak so far, had their hands and arms shake in fury. They glared at Pitou and me. The Hutts looked ready to leave but stopped when Pitou disappeared and reappeared, teleporting in the eyes of anyone who couldn’t keep up with her absurd speed.

She stood across from them, cutting off their exit with her arms crossed behind her back, leaning more on one foot, her head tilted towards the fat slugs who thought they could get away. Two of the seven moved between her and their employers.

“HK, Pitou, leave the seven to me. I am going to make an example out of them. Just make sure their masters come to no harm… Yet, above all else, they are not allowed to leave. The party just started after all, and it would be rude of our hosts to leave just when it got to the good part.”

“Statement: Very well, master. Show these cheap knockoffs what happens when they stain the name and reputation of those better than them by copying them.” The droid stalked forward, more blasters pulled out and aimed at the droid, who simply watched and observed.

I walked forward, and they snapped towards me, fingers on a hair trigger, ready to shoot me if I so much as budged an inch.

My Twi’lek body is on full display, with my lekku twisted around my neck not far off from a scarf. Shrugging off my upper cloak, leaving me shirtless. The two women, despite being ready to shoot me, had their eyes look over my chiseled physique and enjoyed what they saw.

“Tell you what… I won’t use any of my powers. Only my hands and feet will be used.”

The bearded man was taken aback before giving me a smile. “Cocky. I can respect it.”

“You won’t once I am through embarrassing you clowns. Took the wrong job for the wrong people. Why do you think someone like… Cad Bane or Boba Fett didn’t take this job?”

His smile grew an edge and his eyes had a dangerous glint to them. “You best watch your tone, since last I checked we have you outnumbered if your buddies don’t interfere, and we have weapons.” He made a show of looking me up and down. “And you have none.”

“The only weapon I need against all of you is my body. You are not a big enough threat to warrant using anything but that.”

The man made a slow show of pulling out his blaster pistol, wanting to mock me back, and aimed it squarely at my forehead. “It’s about time someone shut you up, freak.” His eyes hadn’t once left my Byakugan enhanced eyes, the pupils gone with the veins bulging out around them.

The various Hutts cheered him on, laughing and smiling at what they thought was about to be an execution.

The instant his fingers moved, the various bones, muscles, and tendons allowing for the slight movement, I had already leaned my head out of the way of his shot. The blaster missed, whizzing past my head and making a fist-sized crater in the duracrete.

“Oh nice modifications. Sucks you can’t aim for shit.”

The man’s eyes widened before he spammed the trigger. What happened next was me making a show of standing in the same spot and just moving my head and body, twisting and bending, avoiding each shot, making it look like it was the easiest thing in the world.

For me it was. For most people this would have been impossible. With my enhancement after acquiring the Hyuga clan's prowess, it made this even easier than it already would have been. The others soon joined him. One tried to shoot my feet in hopes I would remain rooted in place.

I wasn’t that stubborn. My form slid out of the blaster fire, the Trandoshan saw an opportunity to use his weapon. A series of dulled thumps followed several projectiles flying right towards me.

My hands were splayed out, and each grenade was handled with just enough care to keep them from detonating upon contact, using surprising gentleness that shouldn’t have been possible under normal circumstances, and with a wave of my arms, I sent the grenades flying right back at the oversized lizard.

He only had time to widen his eyes before the grenades slammed into him. Fire erupted, tearing his body apart and breaking every bone before it was ripped and burned. The others all stared wide-eyed. The Hutts themselves shrunk in on themselves, especially when one had the half-burnt head of the Trandoshan smack him square in the face.

Bet they were rethinking how bad of an idea it was to not have more guards. Not that it would have made any difference, or they would have just fled their palace when word reached them that it was us that was coming for them.

Especially how they had decided to try and copy Jabba only to have it blow up horribly in their faces after they made an attempt on him and, through doing so, making themselves known as a threat towards my goals and plans.

If it was someone like Padmé Amidala, I’d let it slide… Somewhat. She would get a slap on the wrist, but she was a decent person despite her inability to properly combat the corruption running rampant in the Senate, and because of her decency, she wouldn’t get brutally killed.

The Hutts, on the other hand, were on the complete opposite end of the spectrum from Padmé Amidala. With how evil they were, much like with Palpatine, there was no issue putting them down. The same treatment Jabba got to make him change his ways will be done to them. Except they would be getting extra helpings of pain from Pitou.

Whatever hesitation the group had at witnessing what just happened faded and was replaced with a mask of professionalism. The man pulled out a second blaster and began firing. Unlike before, one blaster occasionally tried to hit me, but he and the others using blasters aimed for where I might go, and the rest created kill zones.

I weaved through it all, twisting and contorting, light steps and smooth acrobatics made it into a sort of dance, and the sound of the blasters firing became the beat of the drums pushing me on. An opening, however small, opened up, and I leaped through it in a spin, evading two blades slashing horizontally for my head and legs.

Two kicks sent the two women skidding back, and with my arm braced, the leader of their group, barking out orders, went wide-eyed. The bitch slap knocked his head to the side with spit and blood leaving his mouth. He slid across the floor, using the back of his hand to wipe his mouth, glaring at me only to go wide-eyed when I front-flipped through the blaster fire.

He rolled out of the way just in time when my heel slammed down in a picture-perfect axe kick that cracked and cratered the floor where his head had been.

He quickly got back to his feet, watching in horror as I charged towards the others. No matter what they did, their blasters just couldn’t hit me. The worst part about it was I wasn’t going all out either. My speed was just enough for them to see my form.

The two ladies went to help their leader up to his feet instead of trying to back the other four up, likely knowing it was over for them. Ducking, spinning, and angling my body in all different directions, evading nonstop blaster fire. A swift leap cleared the rest of the distance, my leg snatched out, spinning before landing past the four people into a slide.

Crouched low before rising. They had stopped shooting before blood sprayed out of their necks. Like they were puppets who just had their strings cut, they fell to the floor with their heads rolling away.

A flick of my foot sent what blood was on it splattering the floor and one of the Hutts' faces, who by now had gone silent after trying to berate their guards for failing to do anything. A glare from me had them shrink in on themselves, while the ones watching from their homes, not on Nar Shaddaa, just laughed in schadenfreude, taking pleasure in their compatriots' misfortune.

“Laugh while you can. Once they get their punishment, you're all next.” I didn’t need to look back to see them looking worried, having fallen silent. Ignoring the hologram fading away, I stalked towards the last three.

The two women I would give some credit to them -- they went down fighting. Both of whom were not weak but capable enough that, with the others providing firing support, I could see them taking down an average Jedi. Probably less than average, to be honest.

They were fast, coordinated even without saying a single word, when one was readying another slash of her blade, the other was covering with their own attack. For ten seconds this went on with me dodging and evading their strikes, even toying with them when a few taps hit their chests or arms when they couldn’t ready another attack fast enough and an opening was available.

They got faster and more desperate when the realization came that they didn’t have a chance. I was just too strong. The Theelin reached for her belt, tossing a trio of daggers at me. My arm snaked out, and the tips of three fingers nudged the sides of the blades, making them sail past me and almost hit the other behind me, who was about to thrust her sword into my heart.

Her attempt was aborted, eyes wide at the knives that came out of nowhere. With a desperate quick slash, the clang of the daggers meeting her sword had them knocked away. Her arms caught up in the momentum of her strike, she had no time to bring the weapon back into position. With wide eyes, she watched me run forward and step back after a lightning-fast kick flashed up before I turned my back against her and focused on the other.

Confused, she was about to go and attack me while my back was turned. Instead, her arms fell off, and her upper torso slid off with blood and organs joining everyone else’s on the floor. While the last fighter was defeated, not after being disarmed far too easily. I took my time with her in her final moments as she looked at me with pleading eyes as I choked her out before I snapped her neck. The leader while this was happening was already backing away.

Moving towards the entranceway only to stop when HK was looking at him ominously. “Observation: Odd that you were so confident you could handle my master, yet now you run.”

The man gritted his teeth, about to shoot his blaster at HK, only for a crack and a scream to echo across the chamber. Whatever hope the Hutts had of this ending in their favor had dried up just as the last drop of uncontaminated water had on Nar Shaddaa thousands of years ago.

The man’s back slammed into a wall, cradling his arm that was broken so easily. As easily as one would snap a twig, his blaster pistol under my foot, my smile promised pain.

“HK, you look bored. Are you?”

The man held his arm while breathing heavily, eyes dilated, looking between me and HK. “W-we can talk this out. What do you want? Information on the Hutts? C’mon tell me… You gotta want something.” He tried bargaining with me before a foot slammed into the wall and just pushed through any resistance with my leg sunk into it up to my knee in duracrete, making him fall silent.

“Statement: I am indeed very bored, master. I did enjoy getting to kill some meatbags, but with none around, I find myself without a thing to do.”

I tutted. "Well, we can’t have that now. Tell you what, while Pitou and I show the Hutts what we think of their hospitality, you can show our fine friend here." I placed my hand on his head, fingers tapping out a tune on his sweat-matted dome. “Your talents and wonderful personality. Would that fix your boredom?”

“Delighted statement: Yes, that would fix my problem, master. Come, meatbag. I have much to show you and a great many things you will need to experience.”

The man’s begging or trying to bargain turned into a scream and cries of pain as HK dragged him out of the room to somewhere more private. The man deserved that much considering the people he helped hang and kill on the Hutt's orders.

I stalked toward the slugs who were huddled in on themselves, trying their best to be the farthest away from me, currently wrestling and shoving one another.

“Now no need to fight over who gets the first treatment courtesy of Doctor Neferpitou, you’ll all be just fine once it’s all over… and feel free to scream and cry as much as you can, it makes her job even more enjoyable.”

Pitou stepped forward, and indeed they screamed. Their screams could be heard three floors down if anyone was alive after we got through with most of the upper portion of the tower's defenses. It likely would have been the first time anyone ever heard a Hutt in this tower scream in terror, since all this time it was their victims.

I idly looked at the rewards given, and with a smile of satisfaction, knowing the Hutts were suffering immensely, I rolled to see what I got.
