DESCRIPTION

Redlines are in progress. I've redlined just over half the local conspiracies and expect to complete the rest of those (and possibly a couple of the regional ones) before the weekend is done. This includes redlining the freelance writers' work, which requires specific guidance and comments because they can't read my mind. Some of it may be a word choice here, a typo there, but my main concern is making sure the second draft comes as close to singing in harmony with the overall project as possible.

Redlining my own stuff, well, my goal is to try not to think of it as my own work when I'm reading it. If something doesn't make sense or just seems weak (or if patrons raised concerns about this or that), I make a note of that and move on. I might catch a typo or awkward bit of phrasing, but doing so isn't the main goal. I'll do more detailed polishing during the second draft pass. In one case, a conspiracy originally written as a local conspiracy needs to be upgraded to regional, while a conspiracy I thought would be a solid regional one is going to be busted down to local. Not something I expected, but it makes more sense this way.
