Hope you are doing well with the Christmas break approaching and lots of countries going into lockdown.
A few weeks ago, Yukiko asked me if I had any ideas for a kingdom management mechanic. This actually got me thinking about one of the things I enjoy so much when reading through campaign setting books: timelines/history of kingdoms.
I just love going through the history of a fictional place and reading about what events took place to shape that particular fantasy nation. The 3rd edition Forgotten Realms campaign setting had lots of these!
Anyway, Kingdom Timelines (inspired in part by Rapscallion) is the result, a mini-game in which you manage (lite) a kingdom based on envoys sent to handle specific (ongoing) threats resulting in a kind of zoomed-out/journalling solo play I quite enjoy.
