Hope you are all doing splendidly, and that you have a chance to fill your summer break with some fun gaming. While prepping for a solo game last week, I had no clear idea of a setting to play in. For me, figuring out what makes a campaign setting tick is a fun part of solo gaming, because I have the time to explore the stuff that I find fun.
I decided to go for a fun new approach and combine three pretty random things as inspiration to create a concise system of mini-random tables to get things moving and on my table as soon as possible. I wound up with Game of Thrones, Lovecraft, and Dances with Wolves, an eclectic mix!
After some fun rounds of playtesting, Watchtower on the Frozen Frontier is the result. It contains a campaign generator system, location kickstarters for Sentinel Watchtower, Ice Pillar Forest, and Shivermaw lake, and a generation example to get things started.
