Short story:
David nodded, quickly dismissing the trainees, and rushed to the medical wing. The physicians were already waiting, displeased. A warrior must be disciplined in all things, one scolded as they led him to the physical examine room.
As they began the routine exam, the physicians couldn’t help but comment on his physique. “Impressive muscle definition, one said, inspecting his arms. David felt self-conscious under their gaze, a rare feeling for him. Though they meant no harm, their admiration made him uncomfortable, and he found himself exposed in a way he wasn’t used to.
Once finished, David dressed quickly, brushing off his embarrassment. Stepping into the halls, he vowed not to let it affect him, but deep down, he knew he had been reminded that even the strongest men can feel vulnerable at times.
