Introducing our new collaboration with JayminProd: a cute butterfly grip that magnetically attaches to any MagSafe-compatible device (or via a magnetic sticker). It makes holding your device easier, works as a stand and even doubles as a fun fidget accessory.
The files for the butterfly are below this post for paid members. The other two versions can be downloaded on MakerWorld. Easy to print: • Layer height: 0.12-0.16• Pin: Brim, scale 1-5% bigger if too loose (depends on flow & filament) • Base: supports Both can be printed without brim & supports but won't turn out as sturdy! Also, please don't use Silk Filament or at least use Silk+. The golden butterfly in the image was printed with Bambu PLA Gold - shiny like gold but sturdy enough. Assembly:
Just be carefull to attach the wings so that the flat side faces upwards and the curved side faces downward cause the curve is designed to fit the shape of your fingers. Sometimes the pin slides in easily, while other times it might need a push. You can also apply some glue on the tip of the pin, but if the pin fits properly, this step is not necessary. Magnetic Ring: Here are the two magnets that I bought for this project. Sizes between 58-59mm work well. They are often listed as "Magnet Ring Holder" or "Wall Mount" on the marketplaces.
