DESCRIPTION

A raven design was requested a long time ago and chantiprints3d gave me the final push - thank you so much!I wanted to create something that interacts with the bookshelf, similar to my Perchlings.JayminProd came up with the final idea of a branch emerging from the bookshelf, holding the raven. It was quite challenging for me to design a raven that requires as few supports as possible, since any surface touched by the supports tends to lose a lot of detail and this design needs to look good from all angles. That's why I divided it into three parts, which need to be printed and assembled. The holder is the same one used for the bookshelf signs, making it a modular system. This gives your customers the option to reuse a holder they may already have at home.Unfortunately, the idea of printing the feet & the branch separately did not work out, even after scaling the feet up by another 20% and making them bulkier :/ Using a dual-nozzel / toolhead printer "only" doubles the print time (= 2h) at a 0.16mm layer height, so for now, that's the only solution I can offer. Depending on how well this model works for you and your feedback on the design, I’d love to create more birds and creatures using the same concept. These would be uploaded exclusively for you here on Patreon ♥Download on MakerWorld for personal use and subscribe here to sell 3d prints:https://makerworld.com/en/models/2575746-raven-on-branch-bookshelf-decor#profileId-2840255EDIT: This post previously contained info about a rules update & my upcoming attendance at a con in Switzerland. The rules can be found here and the con lays in the past :D

Happy printing! Thank you all so much for being here ♥
