Hello! Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey. I'm writing this post to talk about some of the results and answer some of your questions~
That's a long read so I've tried to split it into smaller sections so you can easily skip the topics/questions you don't care about
What would you like to see me improve in my content?
Three things were mentioned the most in this section:
more illustrations
more body diversity
more smaller format anims between the bigger anims
Illustrations: the reason I have put them aside aside for a while is a feeling of burnout and because I felt bad taking too long to finish animations :')To my surprise no one complained about the animations taking too long to come out. This really reassures me and gives me more confidence to not feel like I have to rush them out and completely sacrifice illustrations.As you can see I've already started to make more illusts! I can't guarantee a specific schedule for them but I will definitely try to make more!
Body diversity: I draw this body type because it's my favourite by very far, it's as simple as that😅. Unfortunately I don't think I can go against my preferences on that one, mommies will stay the vastly dominating force (￣▽￣)We will have a few exceptions here and there but I insist: this Patreon is mommy-land 🤣
Smaller format anims: I will keep on making more. I want to keep exploring the format and find the right balance for it. I have ideas on how to improve it and I'm excited to try them. Overall this format has been received pretty well so I am glad~
New type of reward: 1 month early access
I know this question was a little bit vague but I couldn't really expand more on it in the survey. The reasoning behind it was: when I make something so short I can't publicly post it without showing it's entirety, such as the Lisa GIF, would you appreciate having it as a 1-month long Patreon early access content? Do you think this would be a valuable perk of being subbed here?
In the survey, 55.5% voted yes which isn't super high. I'd be interested to know if this would change with this new explanation. I might hold a poll about it on the Discord server
Your questions
Will you open commission slots? At the moment I have no plans of opening slots. I know a lot of you would like to commission me but unfortunately I already have too much on my plate
Is there going to be more consistency with the rewards? I am working entirely alone and I try to always uphold the same level of quality throughout my work. Naturally, bigger projects will take longer to be finished and I cannot change that unless I hired people to help me, which is not something I want to do at the moment for various reasons. I have introduced the smaller format to try having shorter periods of time without any new fully finished content. It's still not perfect by any means but I'm working towards finding a good balance and perfecting this format. Illustrations will also help filling that gap
Will you eventually offer physical merch as part of the Patreon rewards? As Patreon rewards, no. It would take way too much time to handle on a monthly basis I would like to sell merch one day tho, but it would be on a shop outside of Patreon, but I have no plans for this yet
Will you draw more content for Zeliya & Claire? I would like to! I want to show more of their lore, draw more lewd stuff with them, draw cute moments, but it's hard to find the time. I have forced myself to work on my OC content for the first time this year, but it's always a big struggle when it comes to actually start working on it since it unfortunately interests way fewer people than fanarts
Will you involve a male OC with Zeliya & Claire? Lore-wise they are in a relationship together, so it's unlikely I'd draw them with other characters. Never say never but... 😅
Are you going to draw "insert character's name"/ "insert position's name"? No idea, I'm taking things one step at a time. All I can say is after I am done with the Zeli and Claire anim, the next big project is finishing Jane Doe's animation
How do you decide who to draw and what to draw? Honestly I'm mostly going off vibe on what I feel like drawing and if I think it would interest a majority of my audience As for what to draw, I just scroll through a bunch of references of pics and videos and see what sparks an interest and how I can twist the idea to make it more unique and original. Same for outfits and BGs
I couldn't answer to every question since I don't want this post to be longer than it already is, I focused on the most important ones for Patreon. I'm really sorry if I couldn't get you an answer, feel free to DM me here on Patreon if you have a question that you really want an answer to :)
My OCs
I just want to say I'm really happy some of you specifically mentioned Zeli and Claire and said you like seeing them, want to see more of them or even say they are the main reason you are here! I didn't even think one person would mention them, let alone say they are the ones you are here for lolIt makes me really happy to see you enjoy my characters!! It gives me confidence in my work! :D
And no worries, I am not abandonning fanarts. I have focused on them a lot lately but I still want to draw other characters!
Final words
A thousand thanks for the overwhelming support! Lots of you left very kind comments about how much you like my work and even asked if I was doing okay, if I took enough rest, etc... Your kindness means a lot and I'm really happy I can create artworks and animations that can be truly enjoyed and appreciated by many. I will keep on working hard!Thank you again for the support. I feel like a broken record because I often say it but I really mean it!
