Hello! In this season of soccer, Will, Ryan and I (Clara Morris, your friend and mine) wanted to take a look at Major League Soccer's early solution to avoiding draws. Which existed because they thought Americans couldn't tolerate a game ending in a tie. Too confusing. Who do I throw my hotdog at?? Oops I already ate it, I'm choking, don't call an ambulance we don't have universal healthcare here, etc, etc.
So you see, something simply had to be done, and the powers that be in the MLS devised a mini-game to take place at the end of a draw, a sort of 1-on-1 between a goalie and shooter. Some people really loved it! Some people thought it was not soccer. Some people (Will, Ryan and me) had way better ideas of how to resolve a draw.
Please enjoy!
