I go down this rabbit hole every couple years, but I am starting to plot out how I want to go about handling my Youtube channel in the future (starting to actually record footage of my comic/SFW stuff I draw so I can have something to talk about ahah) and thought I'd share with you guys and get some opinions on it from some of my best fans!
I think it will initially cater towards talking about my comic, Rowena the Barbarian, and the process of making a comic as that is what I'm going to have the most drawing footage of that is also Youtube friendly. I don't mind doing some tutorials, but find it really overwhelming to try to teach fundamentals because there is SO MUCH out there already that has done it well. Then I got to thinking, well what if I could sometimes do more specific/niche tutorials like female anatomy, drawing better expressions, drawing beards, etc. instead. I know some have mentioned wanting to learn how to draw NSFW art better, but unfortunately that isn't something I could make a public video of. I could however eventually add a new "Art Student" type tier here and make Patreon exclusive video tutorials on how to draw certain parts of NSFW art.
As for Youtube specific stuff, I would want to talk about character designs for the Rowenaverse, maybe share some lore on there, and WIPs and updates on the progression of the comic.
For those none artists, don't worry, I don't intend to shift my focus to making tutorials and videos all the time. Just looking into expanding what I can offer the art community and fans of my work! I am a planner so I just like to think ahead of this stuff so I can plot out a course of action for the future. :)
So, I guess to make it a little easier for you to give some feedback, what would want to see from me as far as Youtube and art videos go?
