First Mega Man World 4 DX footage + progress report
DESCRIPTION

Development on Mega Man World 4 DX has already started and I've got very good news!

I must admit I wasn't expecting to do so much progress in so little time.Kensu and I colorized Mega Man World 3 in a month and a half, and that was due to the game using the same engine as Mega Man World 5 (well not the same engine version, but an older one, but most of the code was compatible).

I figured MMW4DX was going to be a bigger challenge because of the cutscenes. But after doing a bunch of playthroughs and studying the game, looks like it's not going to be that hard.Indeed, most of the hacking is already done. The hardest parts are always the palette changes (screen fades, Megabuster charging, screen flashes, etc) and I've got all of them working already, yay!Yes, the cutscenes will be a little harder, but after MMW5DX this is going to be a piece of cake. MMW4 engine is a mix of both MMW3 and MMW5, that means fortunately I didn't need to code or update any of my current tools, everything I had already worked day one. I was able to extract the tilesets, the metasprites and other information quite easily.I'm glad I left MMW4DX as the last one, it was the best roadmap I could have ever chosen.

As of hacking status, MMW4DX is just missing the colorized pause screen and some enemies. I can't think of any other big thing it's lacking currently. That means, I only need to wait for Kensu to choose the palettes and redraw the graphics for the best result.

I can't wait to see this one finished myself!
