[Third Person Pov]
A bit earlier, Clark had tackled Melzargard with unstoppable force straight through the ship's reinforced exterior hull. The thick alien metal ruptured and shrieked in protest as the two powerful beings tore through layer after layer, until they came to a jarring halt deep inside the vessel. Clark slammed his foe hard into a bulkhead, embedding the multi-headed monster partially into the unyielding wall with a resounding metallic crunch.
Clark’s sharp eyes swept around him, taking in the bewildering interior of the massive alien spacecraft. It looked less like any vessel he had ever seen, more like an endless, twisting maze constructed from an unknown shimmering metal that Earth science had never encountered.
“What a strange piece of metal… not to mention, this whole place is like a labyrinth,” Clark said aloud, his voice filled with genuine admiration as he studied the intricate alien architecture around them. He hovered slightly, his cape settling as he absorbed every detail of the bizarre environment.
“Is now really the time for that when I'm right in front of you?!” Melzargard shouted furiously. His multiple grotesque faces twisted with raw rage and wounded indignation, eyes burning with hatred.
“I mean, yeah. You aren't really a threat to me, so I'm using the time to take my surroundings in and assess the threat level,” Clark scoffed, staring at Melzargard with complete indifference, almost bored. His posture remained relaxed, as if he were merely sightseeing rather than locked in combat with a dangerous extraterrestrial invader.
All of Melzargard’s heads began speaking at once, their voices overlapping in a chaotic, menacing chorus directed straight at Clark.
“You underestimate us.”
“That is good.”
“Yes, admire this place till your heart's content, for it will be your burial ground.”
The heads suddenly detached from one another with wet, sickening sounds, each transforming rapidly into five fully independent entities. Yet they all shared the exact same ruthless will and malevolent intelligence. The five separate bodies now stood before him, their forms rippling and reforming as limbs elongated and hardened into an arsenal of deadly weapons—blades, hammers, spikes, and more.
They all rushed toward Clark in perfect coordination, their transformed limbs slashing and striking at blinding speeds. Razor-sharp blades whipped through the air with rapid, whistling fury, a massive giant mallet swung down from above with crushing force, and additional arms morphed into jagged weapons designed to impale and dismember.
Clark moved with expert precision, weaving effortlessly between the onslaught using his superior flying maneuverability to maintain the upper hand. He dodged and countered fluidly, never allowing more than a glancing blow to land as he analyzed their patterns mid-battle.
He activated his X-ray vision, peering through their grotesque forms, and quickly spotted a glowing crystal sphere nestled inside each of their heads. ‘Bingo,’ he thought, a confident grin spreading across his face.
Moments later, Clark was on the ground, executing a continuous series of rapid backflips as one of the bodies—now sporting leathery wings—hovered above him, firing a barrage of regenerating projectiles from its own skin. Clark responded with pinpoint accuracy, slicing the wings clean off with a precise, controlled laser beam from his eyes. The creature plummeted and landed smoothly on the metal floor, immediately rejoining the other four as they regrouped and charged at him again with renewed ferocity.
Clark slid backward from the momentum of his last flip, then rocketed forward at superhuman speed. In the blink of an eye, he blurred past each of the five entities, appearing on the opposite side of the corridor with his arms crossed casually. Between his fingers, he now held the five extracted crystal beads, gleaming faintly. Behind him, the five Melzargard bodies erupted violently into clouds of wet clay and dark blood, splattering the walls and floors in a gruesome crimson coating that dripped heavily in the aftermath.
Clark’s sensitive ears picked up the heavy, rhythmic thud of numerous boots striking the metal floor—reinforcements and the ship’s crew rushing toward the commotion from deeper within the vessel. He smirked, however, because his heightened senses detected something far more welcome approaching amid the chaos.
Suddenly, the side wall burst open with a explosive crash as Krypto slid inside, tumbling briefly before regaining his footing. The super-dog shook himself off and charged eagerly toward Clark. “I’m here, Kal-El! I’m here! Why are you always having fun without me!”
“I wouldn’t exactly call an alien invasion fun,” Clark replied with a chuckle, even as aliens of various misformed races began pouring in from either side of the wide corridor. These newcomers were a motley crew of warriors, some heavily armored, others wielding crackling energy weapons and rifles, all wearing expressions of pure hostility and bloodlust.
“Krypto, let’s play a game of catching your tail,” Clark said with a playful grin. Krypto’s eyes lit up with immediate understanding, his tail wagging excitedly.
“Hehehe, this is going to be fun!” Krypto barked enthusiastically.
The two heroes began rapidly circling each other at incredible speeds, generating a powerful vortex of wind and force that began pulling the invading aliens inward against their frantic wills. Weapons slipped from clawed hands and spun chaotically through the air, clattering uselessly against the walls. As the enemies drew dangerously close to the swirling center, Clark and Krypto unleashed bursts of their combined strength and power, blasting the aliens backward with devastating impacts.
In a slow-motion blur of action, Clark delivered a devastating punch to a massive bull-like alien, the force cracking its thick horns and caving in its brutish face with a sickening crunch. At the same time, Krypto tore straight through one attacker’s reinforced armor using his powerful jaws, then kicked the foe away savagely with his strong hind legs.
Clark and Krypto spun around each other once more, now facing opposite directions and fresh waves of opponents. Krypto headbutted one alien squarely in the nose with bone-shattering force, while Clark launched himself airborne, delivering a spinning hook kick that sent another flying.
The duo suddenly halted their rotation and pressed their backs together, glancing over their shoulders with matching confident grins. They whipped their heads back toward their respective corridors. Clark’s eyes began to glow an intense, fiery red, while Krypto exhaled a swirling blue mist from the corner of his mouth, frost already forming on his fangs.
In perfect sync, they took a single step forward and unleashed their signature attacks. Clark released an unrelenting wave of heat vision that swept through the corridor like a blazing inferno, melting enemy weapons and armor into slag, searing limbs, and igniting the entire passage in roaring flames. The aliens screamed in agony as they were consumed by the blistering heat.
Simultaneously, Krypto unleashed his arctic breath, a howling gale of freezing wind that rapidly coated the opposite corridor in thick, crystalline layers of frost and ice. The aliens’ desperate steps grew slower and heavier as ice built up over their bodies, encasing them completely until they stood frozen solid like eerie, lifelike statues, trapped forever in expressions of terror and defeat.
“Nice~” Clark said with a satisfied smirk, exchanging a solid fist-to-paw bump with Krypto. The super-dog’s tail wagged proudly as sparks of leftover energy crackled around them.
Just then, Lala descended through the gaping opening Krypto had created in the hull, her sword already drawn and gleaming. She landed lightly on the metal floor, eyes blazing with excitement.
“Who’s left?! Let me handle them, Superman!” Lala exclaimed vigorously, gripping her blade with eager anticipation, clearly itching to join the fray.
“You’re a bit late, Lala. I already handled—” Clark started to say, lifting his hand to show her the five glowing crystal beads resting between his fingers.
But before he could finish, the beads suddenly shot out of his grasp on their own, streaking past Lala in a blur. They spun wildly behind her, generating a swirling vortex of crackling energy. In a blinding flash, the crystals fused together into one massive, pulsating pearl. From that orb, Melzargard materialized once more—bigger, faster, and radiating far greater power than before. Five sets of glowing red eyes now burned across his singular, monstrous head.
“I’m yet to be defeated!! I am Melzargard! General of the Dark Matter Thieves! And this is where you’ll all die!!” he roared, his voice booming through the corridor like thunder.
His hands morphed instantly into a colossal, jagged sword. With terrifying speed, he swung the massive blade straight at Lala. She spun around just in time, raising her own sword in a defensive stance. The impact sent her flying backward through the air, but she recovered gracefully with an acrobatic flip, sliding to a stop right beside Clark.
“Oh wow… my arms are tingly,” Lala muttered, her sword hand trembling visibly from the sheer force of the blow.
The ground beneath Melzargard’s feet shattered into jagged fragments as the three heroes turned into blurs of motion. His enhanced power was overwhelming—each punch now generated devastating shockwaves capable of flattening entire city blocks. The surrounding walls and ceiling groaned under the pressure, massive dents forming everywhere as the entire section of the ship trembled violently. Debris rained down around them in a chaotic storm of twisted metal.
Krypto fired a powerful laser from his eyes, driving Melzargard backward while the monster desperately stretched his elongated hands forward in an attempt to grab them. Lala flew straight in, her sword flashing in a series of quick, efficient slashes that chopped apart his fingers, hands, and limbs with surgical precision.
Clark appeared above him in a flash, executing a perfect backflip axe kick that slammed Melzargard face-first into the floor with earth-shaking force.
“Arghhh!!” Melzargard roared in fury. Four new hands rapidly sprouted to replace the damaged ones. “Fall! Be conquered!! For that is the fate of all those who stand in my waaay!!”
His fists came raining down like a barrage of meteors—indistinguishable blurs multiplied by impossible speed and velocity. Clark matched the intensity and volume of the assault blow for blow. The resulting gale-force winds were so intense that Lala and Krypto had to brace themselves, digging in against the hurricane-like pressure just to stay upright.
Clark slapped away the top two hands, leaving Melzargard’s arms spread wide, then seized the bottom pair in an iron grip. A single powerful kick ripped the limbs clean off from the torso, sending the general hurtling backward.
Krypto and Lala exchanged a quick, determined nod. They launched forward together. Lala flew with one hand outstretched for balance and her sword arm pulled back, letting out a valiant war cry. “Ahhhhh!!” She sliced clean through one of his remaining arms in a brilliant arc, while Krypto flew right beside her, clamping his powerful jaws around another limb and tearing it free.
Clark hovered with his eyes closed as Melzargard stumbled backward in shock and disbelief. “I’ll admit, you were an interesting punching bag,” Clark said calmly, “but as they say, all good things must come to an end.”
“No!! Wait!” Melzargard pleaded, his remaining arms regenerating frantically while desperate wings burst from his back in a last-ditch attempt to escape.
Clark’s eyes snapped open, burning like twin rubies. “If you wanted to live, you shouldn’t have attempted to conquer my fucking planet.”
His gaze widened as a devastating, vaporizing wave of intense heat erupted forward.
“AHHHHHHHHHH!!!” Melzargard screamed, desperately holding out his stump-like hands as the overwhelming heat completely enveloped him.
His clay-like body structure first hardened into brittle stone from the extreme temperatures, but it couldn’t withstand the assault. It cracked and shattered apart, leaving only the giant pearl gem floating amid the ashes. The gem resisted valiantly at first, glowing brighter in defiance—until Clark narrowed his eyes, focusing the heat vision into a concentrated, piercing beam.
The searing ray blasted straight through the gem and the far wall of the spacecraft, carrying the pearl with it out into the open skies. It continued onward, lancing through the clouds until the gem finally shattered into countless glittering fragments that scattered and vanished on the wind.
Clark slowly closed his eyes. A massive, jagged hole now dominated the side of the ship, its molten edges glowing white-hot and distorting the air with shimmering waves of heat. Tiny embers still flickered at the corners of his eyes as he exhaled deeply, a satisfied grin tugging at the corners of his lips.
