Since the last update: started on renders, sound, memory entries, and the associated code. For those new to these reports, once I start this phase I work through the script scene-by-scene, putting everything in place for one before moving to the next.
In terms of numbers, there's 244 renders done and I'm through 835 lines of the script. Current script length is around 5900 lines, so that puts me a little over 14 percent of the way through. Reminder that that number isn't how far through the overall update I am, as it doesn't include the work done on the second draft of the script, character/outfit creations, and setting up the new maps, or the work left to do after (testing, various tasks that don't really fit in other spots in the workflow, and this release's extra tasking).
With the work in place so far, I've had a chance to play through a bit and the songs I've gathered so far for general background during the ball feel a bit too somber for that particular use. I'll likely look for some more. There's no shortage of classical music available, but I'd rather avoid the more well-known stuff as it'd feel kinda strange to have stuff from composers like Bach and Beethoven in a world other than Earth.
I'll probably put the preview together either at the end of the month, or when I'm halfway through the renders/memory/sound work.
Thanks for the support and stay safe!
