Today’s the last day of October! Leaves are finally falling, there’s a chill in the air, and Tamarack is throwing a paper airplane at your head. Some may call it autumn in Golden Grove, but I call it paradise.
We had a few bumps as a team this month – GB was out of office and, unfortunately, came down with Covid upon return. Despite this, she (and our other team members) worked as hard as they could, and I’m here to report what they were able to cross off their list! Monthly Content Summary
As noted, GB was out of commission for several weeks this month, but is back to work. She is on track to hit the next public demo’s November launch date! More on that later 👀HUGE merch news, btw. We’ve heard that an Our Life clothing item has been hotly requested, and we’re incredibly stoked to be able to bring one to the community. On November 21st, the first ever GB Patch clothing merch will be available for purchase: an Our Life hoodie! You can check out the sneak peek here (this is just a teaser – not what the final product will look like).
Here’s the official Makeship link, which is where you’ll need to head on the 21st if you’re interested in purchasing the hoodie. Lastly, the Voiced Names list was released to the public! It contains an enormous 1,657 name options (thank you to our voice actors 😅) and we hope you’re able to find one you love.
Development Progress
This month, GB was able to finish writing the script for Step 2’s Moment 8!
A good deal of programming work was accomplished as well. The team completed nearly 20k words for Step 2. They’re also preparing for the public demo update that will launch in November. This new release will include:
A new Step 1 Moment, “Fancy Fun”
The rest of the Step 2 prologue
One Step 2 Moment, “Assistance”
In art development, several new background alterations were completed to match the change from Step 1 to Step 2, as well as a new CG and new lineart pieces.

I hope these updates bring a little warmth as the nights get colder! Some days, I can’t wait for it to get chillier, but once we get there… We’ll be wishing we were back on the beaches of Sunset Bird. 😭 It’s an endless cycle.
