Hey all! Here's the replica code and stats for the Mega Scovillain team I used to reach rank 1 on the ladder. The basic theory behind the team is that the core of Kingambit/Sneasler/Basculegion is on the majority of the best teams right now and as all three of these Pokemon are physical attackers, Scovillain's ability is really dangerous. I decided to use Leech Seed in place of a Grass attack because of Mega Floette - Burn + Leech Seed deal 18% of a Pokemons health every turn, so 36% if you mix in Protect. Due to my Scovillain being very specially bulky it can actually 1v1 Floette successfully even if they have a Calm Mind (most of the time).
Since Scovillain can't burn Fire type Pokemon I decided to pair it with Rain Pokemon, and I chose slightly more defensive sets for Pelipper and Basculegion to better take advantage of burned foes. I wanted a fast fourth Pokemon to complete the main mode and decided to use Choice Scarf Archaludon who is especially strong in the closed team sheet best of 1 format used on the ladder.
I added Mega Aerodactyl next as it's a powerful Pokemon against Charizard-Y teams who Scovillain really doesn't want to face, and can work with Basculegion and Pelipper as well. I actually don't think Tailwind is needed on this team but I didn't feel like there were that many moves that were a clear improvement.
Initially my final Pokemon was Kingambit, but I realized that the speed tier and poor Sneasler matchup made it only an OK fit. I switched to Sneasler today because I noticed that vs Floette teams with lots of healing (See: Sinistcha) that my leech seed and burn damage wasn't adding up quickly enough, so I wanted something with more bust. Sneasler is a bit unintuitive for me to use but it did feel strong today when I brought it - it's also a useful Pokemon in the Scovillain mirror which came up a few times.
One trend on this team is I tried to lean into the surprise factor, assuming people would already be unfamiliar playing against Scovillain and other unusual sets could throw them off even more. Sneasler, Pelipper, and Aerodactyl are all a lot bulkier than the norm, and the Focus Sash and Choice Scarf being in unusual places caused many opponents trouble. Be aware that some of these choices may be less effective once the team becomes better known.
My main mode with this team was Scovillain/Basculegion lead with Pelipper/Archaludon back. If you're just trying to get a feel for it (and you aren't facing down sun), this is my recommendation in a vacuum.
