CMRT Broadcast | In collaboration with World Sim Series
DESCRIPTION

We love watching races. Formula 1, WEC, NASCAR, we have seen (and still do) hours and hours of races, strategies, pit stops and overtakes on TV. Over the years, even long before the birth of CMRT, we have always dwelt on noticing how specific informations would be displayed: intervals, strategies and sponsors would be placed and shown on screen in different ways, and every category would do so in its own way with different styles compared to each other. Needless to say that these interfaces have also influenced the style of CMRT how you see today.

During multiple races we thought: "what if we made CMRT useful not only for who races, but also for who watches them?" and to be honest we really liked the idea, a lot even. Tough if we made thousands of virtual races, we could not say the same about streaming, on the contrary. We couldn't develop something of which we did not accurately understand its needs, and that consequently would not satisfy the quality requirements that represent CMRT. So for entire months this was just an idea that would bounce between us, fueled by some users that would request for changes here and there to improve the compatibility of Complete with their livestream.

We of CMRT receive every day e-mails or comments on our interface like the ones above. Some of them are actually simple compliments, others are requests for assistance or new features requests. But when we read inside our e-mail "Partnership Proposal - Broadcast Overlay Collaboration with CMRT" from Paulius of World Sim Series (which we salute), we became very surprised. Some of us have raced in WSS events, in some cases to test the multiplayer compatibility of CMRT, and now we could have drawn on the vast experience of someone who handles a platform of hundreds of users every day. The moment we had been waiting for had truly come.

From the beginning we noticed that the changes we would have liked to make to CMRT Complete would have radically impacted it, and that it would not just become an expansion to the existing interface, but that it would have communicated in a totally new way. So, after having agreed in a call with Paul, development began starting from their very own requests, sending periodically new test versions to receive precise feedback from World Sim Series regarding the direction of the interface.

Improvement after improvement a brand new interface was taking form.

CMRT Broadcast was born.

We have developed more than 15 new different widgets and adapted our data to display them in a more suitable graphic design for who watches, streamer included, giving him all the control of the action and getting as close as possible to a TV direction despite Assetto Corsa's limits. We have improved the interface to guarantee a higher readibility of what is shown on screen. We can say with conviction that we have introduced features that no one else made before in a broadcast overlay for a videogame.

We will talk of all the features with detail in a dedicated post.

You will be able to see CMRT Broadcast in action on July 12th in World Sim Series' livestream for the special event of the 4h of Palanga.

At the end of the livestream CMRT Broadcast will be available in our marketplace for all of you. One year after the first CMRT Complete release.

About CMRT Complete

During development of the Broadcast version, every improvement to the interface has been taken and brought also on CMRT Complete. An update containing bugfix and graphic improvements will be released the same day, July 12th. We remind you that it will be free for everyone who has already bought CMRT Complete, you will find more details in a dedicated post.

We also take this opportunity to thank all the people who have chosen to use our interfaces and that have supported us during this year.
