Another personal piece I wanted to work on. I started this one back when I was also drawing "20 Meters" last year. It was the second study I was doing of one of my favorite artists (Sachin Teng) where I wanted to focus more on the painterly colors. Of course it's another piece about transness that I am not exactly sure how I explain well in words. I think I also was drawing this around the time I realized she was a trans artist herself, so her work became even more meaningful to me. Ended up going with the dark blacks for the slices and mask over the original trans blue and pinks I had. I like the contrast a lot. Also had a ton of fun painting the smoke out. Ultimately a really fun lesson and I learned a lot from it. It was nice to sit down and spend some time painting again even if it can be rough on my hands now. I might do another charity poster run if I can get it ready in time for AWU, though it ended up being an odd shape of extra long. Certainly wont be easy to frame!
