How To Use 2D & 3D Guides (No Mods + Bedrock Friendly)

DESCRIPTION

Do you not use mods or are you a Bedrock users? You can use the provided files under each post to create 2D and 3D build guides using this website, so you can recreate my builds even without any mods! But, how does this site work exactly? I often get questions about this, as not everyone is familiar with Bloxelizer yet. Bloxelizer is a thrid-party site that can be used to convert schematics into 2D or 3D layer-by-layer build guides. These guides you can have open on your laptop, tablet, or phone, while you build on Minecraft, almsot like Lego Instructions. The guides are not inside Minecraft. Let me walk you through the process with an example build from the Free Downloads Collection. If you want to make sure a build has compatible files for these guides, check out this collection. If you are wondering about compatibility for some of my older builds, feel free to DM me on Patreon, and I will sort this out for you. 1) Download the files. Before you can upload any files to the site, you must first navigate to the build you want to build, and download the files. Remember where in your files you save them. Most downloads are a zipped file containing multiple file types. Make sure that if this is the case, you unzip the files first, so you can access what is inside. 2) Go to Bloxelizer. On this site you go to the converter tab, and are asked to "Drag and Drop" your file onto their site, or you can use "Browse files" to navigate to where you have saved your file. This page will look something like this:

Please note that they are asking for a specific file type. Not all files types will work. I have found most reliability with the .schem file, though the .litematic has also been working fine. For this example I will chose the file ending in .schem, like so:

3) Chose your guide style. After you have uploaded your file onto the site, it will tell you that your guide is ready to use. You just gotta chose what part of the guide you would like to view first. Generally speaking you will be using the "material list" and either the "2D Layer View" or the "3D Layer View"

The material list will give you an alphabetical list of all needed materials, and show you both the total amount, and the amount in stacks you need of each material. At the top you can also specify the material list to only show specific layers.

When you have your materials sorted, and are ready to build, you go to either the "2D Layer View" or the "3D Layer View" and can start building. On the right you can go up and down in layers using the "+" and the "-" (handy if your file seems empty, as often the bottom few layers or top few layers are air, to not risk accidentally cutting off part of the build), switch between 2D and 3D view, and use the ruler to measure blocks. The 2D (top) and 3D (bottom) layer views may look like this:

In the 3D Layer View you can also preview the final build.

I hope this makes recreating my creations even easier for you, and enjoy! Feel free to DM me here on Patreon if you have any questions that are not yet answered by this post. If your question is answered in this post, I will redirect you here. As I mentioned, Bloxelizer is a thrid-party site, any issues on their side I cannot resolve.
