OE ProTune V1.5 UPDATE - Delete Old File - REDOWNLOAD THIS ONE
Bugs fixed from V1
Tunes save properly now. They used to get wiped when you swapped a part, restarted the game, or cleared your cache. They stick now.
Stock cars aren't throwing fake damage anymore. A few were lighting the engine damage icon or reading a little lean when nothing was actually wrong.
Boost reads right on a lot more turbos now, including the custom variable boost ones that weren't reporting at all before.
The boost table sets itself up correctly when you go from NA to turbo. It used to get stuck on the wrong range and you couldn't tune the boost cells.
Loading a preset clears the old fault codes now instead of dragging them along.
A pile of smaller stuff too, like idle behavior and lambda flicker at idle.
New features
Languages. Now you can switch
from English, spanish, french or portuguese!
PSI. You can flip the whole app over to PSI instead of kPa. The gauges, the sliders, the boost table
Build Card. A clean spec sheet of your car with the engine, block, turbo, NOS, fuel, and every part pulled straight off your build, plus your dyno numbers once you do a pull. Hit Snapshot Mode and screenshot it to show on discord! #BuildCard channel
Hardware needs tuning now. Bolt on a turbo, cams, ITBs, bigger injectors, a stroker, anything, and the car won't just magically run perfect. It runs lean or rich or rough until you actually tune for it.
Block strength. It reads what block you've got fitted. A stock block takes way less abuse than a built or forged one before it lets go.
Fuel Main is a scalar table now. 1.00 means follow the lambda target exactly, 1.10 adds ten percent on top, and so on, Your old tunes convert over on their own.
Dyno now plots AFR and boost across the whole pull. You can see exactly where it goes lean and what boost it's making at any rpm.
E85 and E30 fuel support.
If you hit any bugs or something feels off, let me know.
This is a tuning ECU app for BeamNG. It works on pretty much any car, all motor or turbo. It's set up like the standalone ECU software you'd actually tune on, but the point of it is to learn. Whatever you change in the fuel, ignition, boost and lambda tables changes how the car runs. Tune it right and it makes power, tune it wrong and it knocks, misfires, or blows up. Since it's just a sim you can mess with it however you want and reset the car to fix it.You tune on real tables. Fuel, ignition, boost and lambda are all there and color coded. You can drag to select a block of cells, then add, subtract, scale by percent, fill, smooth, interpolate, or copy and paste. There's a baseline and delta view, a live cell so you can see where the engine is in the map, and a surface view of the table.
The runtime page shows you everything the car is doing in real time. Lambda, knock, injector duty, fuel pressure, intake temp, engine health, all with alarms when something's off.
There's a dyno built in so you can see if your tune did anything. Do a pull and you get HP and torque curves, and it saves your first run as a baseline so the next runs show the gain or loss.
Hit the Tutorial / Lessons button. It sets the car up, shows you what to click, explains what's happening, and moves you on once you get each step. There are 8 of them, beginner to advanced:
Reading the gauges
Fixing a rich tune
Power and knock
Tuning for power on the dyno
More ways to make power (AFR, cam timing, boost)
Setting up a 2 step launch
Dialing in boost on a turbo car
Building a safe turbo tune
There's also a Help Me button that reads your live data and your last few pulls and tells you in plain words what's wrong and where to fix it, like running lean up top, boost going over target, or the motor taking damage. It'll jump you to the right page.
