Bug Fixes

Fixed trailers, EVs and cranes crashing. The ECU was attaching itself to electric and hydraulic motors and disabling the whole vehicle. It only touches combustion engines now.

Fixed the BeamMP and multi car issue where you hit Connect and it kicked you right back to Monitoring.

Fixed switching cars wiping the other car's saved tune. Now when you switch, it loads that car's own saved tune like it should.

Fixed tuning while paused. Before, anything you changed while the game was paused would quietly revert when you unpaused. Now your changes apply as soon as you unpause.

Fixed big HP swap engines blowing up in seconds. Block strength now comes from the engine's actual jbeam torque rating, so a built 1500hp block actually counts as one.

Fixed factory turbo, cammed and big injector configs running terrible when you connect. The config a car spawns with is now treated as factory and runs clean. Only parts you install after that need tuning.

Fixed the mystery where some modded cars ran rich and never hit the lambda target no matter what. The app was guessing injector sizes from mod part names and getting it wrong. There is also a new Injector match readout on Fuel Setup, and the Tune Doctor will now tell you when your ECU injector setting doesn't match what's on the car. Heads up, if a modded car runs a little leaner than before, check your lambda targets, a false injector penalty was removed.

Reworked the boost controller. Big turbos no longer need crazy base duty just to reach target. Closed loop now actually holds your target on any turbo, and base duty just shapes how hard it spools.

Fixed phantom overboost and limp mode on mods with custom boost controllers. The ECU now learns the car's real boost. Also fixed boost targets slowly creeping up from momentary spikes, so overboost protection actually works on untouched tables now.

Recalibrated the EGT model. High boost cars no longer melt no matter how well you tuned them. Lean and over retarded tunes still cook, rich and well timed tunes survive. Limp mode also respects your EGT limit setting now, and turning Protection off really means nothing will save you.

Fixed Tune Doctor false alarms. It no longer screams about running lean while you're coasting, and lean cruise tunes no longer misfire all the time.

Fixed fuel pressure showing red under normal boost.

Fixed superchargers reading the wrong boost above roughly 12 psi.

Changes

Ignition timing now has a real MBT. Advance makes power up to around +7 degrees where torque peaks, and past that you start losing power, just like a real engine. Because physics handles the limit now, the ignition table goes all the way to +30. If your dyno numbers dropped after updating, you were past the peak, pull some timing back and you'll find it.

Full supercharger support. Blower boost is mechanical from the pulley, so the wastegate gains do nothing on them, and the Boost table works as a safety ceiling instead. Anti lag is turbo only now like it should be. There's a full supercharger lesson too.

You can now raise the rev limiter past stock, up to what each engine can physically handle. The Limiters page shows how far your engine can go. Revving past the stock redline wears the engine over time. Sliders now go to 12,000 rpm for the big drag builds.

Fuel pressure works like a real boost referenced regulator now. Rail pressure rises with boost, and the differential pressure is what drops when the pump runs out. Both are shown.

Two new fuels, Race Gas C16 and Methanol M1, with real spec numbers. Meth resists knock the most, runs cool EGTs, burns an almost invisible blue flame, and needs about 2.3 times the injector. E30's stoich number was also corrected.

V8s get all 8 cylinder trims. Injectors auto size to the engine's power, and injector demand scales with actual cylinder size.

New Features

New OE ProTune effects pack. Custom flames and smoke, fireballs that grow and fade out, flame tongues that turn red as they cool, smoke that actually billows and hangs around, thick diesel coal, and white unburnt fuel smoke on anti lag and 2 step. You can switch back to the stock BeamNG look on the Pops page.

Your tune decides the flame color now. Rich tunes throw orange fireballs with black smoke, lean tunes with heavy retard burn blue. And not every bang makes fire, most pops are just a bark and some smoke, hotter tunes flame more often and bigger.

New Pop sound selector. Use your car's own afterfire sounds, which works great with sound mods, use the OE samples, or both.

Rotational Idle, in BETA. The rowdy drag idle. Retard the idle cells hard, richen them a bit, arm it, and the car lopes, surges and rocks at a stand still with the occasional bark and flame. There's a lesson for it.

Overrun pops and bangs. Turn off decel fuel cut, richen and retard the overrun cells, and it bangs. Also added a hard cut rev limiter that bounces with fire, rolling anti lag where you hold a key and it locks revs and builds boost, and the anti lag toggle actually barks, flames and smokes now.

The 2 step bark plays through the game's own sound engine now, so it's reliable and other BeamMP players can hear it. V8s get a proper V8 bark.

Tune sharing. One click turns your whole tune into a code you can paste in Discord, and whoever you send it to just pastes it in and drives your tune. You can also export and import tune files, with an Open Folder button.

Every page now has a "?" button in the top bar that gives you a quick 20 second tour of what that page does and what to try. People kept asking what all the settings do, so now the app just tells you.

Quality of life stuff. Live AFR bar on the table pages, a Lambda to AFR display toggle, CSV log export with an Open Folder button, and the Tune Doctor now explains injector mismatches and when your timing is past the power peak.

Install Notes

Remove or disable all older OE ProTune zips before installing this one, they will conflict.

Fully restart the game once after installing so the effects pack loads. You can check it on the Pops and Bangs page, it should say OE pack loaded.

Your saved tunes carry over automatically, they live in your userfolder, not in the mod.
