AC Studio is a desktop app for customizing Assetto Corsa cars. It gives you a live 3D view of your car and lets you swap wheels, set up stance, and edit materials, all without having to open 3ds max, blender or even KS editor.
Here's what you can do with it.
Wheels
Pick any car as a donor and swap its wheels onto your car. It handles the main model for you, so the wheels look right at every distance. You can also import your own wheel from an FBX or OBJ file, set the real size (rim inches, width, offset, and tyre size), and drop it straight onto the car. If you import a bare rim, it can generate a matching tyre for you automatically.
If you just want to tweak the wheels a car already has, you can do that too. Adjust size, width, and sidewall depth with simple sliders, and set the front and rear separately for a staggered look. When you widen a wheel, the tread texture stays crisp instead of stretching out.
The tyre physics stay in sync with what you see, so the game rides on the same size you set. You can also carry a donor car's full tyre grip over if you want the car to actually drive on those tyres.
Stance
Set ride height, camber, wheel poke, and track width, all live in the 3D view. The car stays sitting on the ground while you adjust it, so you always see the real result instead of guessing. There are safe limits built in so you don't accidentally push a car into an invalid setup, and you can see the exact values that will be written before you save.
Materials and look
Click any part of the car to edit its material. There are ready made presets pulled from the official cars (car paint, chrome, glass, and more) that you can apply with one click, and you can replace or export textures directly. The showroom view shows the car close to how it looks in the game, with different environments to choose from and support for your car skins.
Saving
When you're happy with it, save it as a brand new car so your original stays untouched, or apply the changes to the car in place. Either way it keeps backups, and it checks everything before saving so you don't end up with a broken car.Installing and first launch
There's no installer. Just unzip the download, open the AC Studio folder, and run AC Studio.exe. The first time you open it, Windows might show a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen because the app isn't signed with a paid certificate. This is normal for a small app like this. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway" and it will open fine.
Updates
This is version 1.0.0, the first release. I'll keep updating it and adding features based on your feedback, so let me know what you'd like to see next. My goal is to release V1 for free (once its complete), and then keep adding more features and updates here in patreon!
