Robert Redguard – A kind pharmacist and devoted father whose descent into crime is driven by desperation to save his son.
Buttons – A flamboyant, dangerous Joker goon with pink and blue hair. He saves Robert and later inducts him into Joker and Harley's gang.
Harley Quinn – Joker’s second-in-command, overseeing gang operations with brutal authority.
The Joker – The unseen-but-omnipresent mastermind. He puts Robert through a terrifying “audition” and becomes fascinated by his desperation.
Susan – Robert’s wife. She disapproves of his actions but is caught in the tragedy of their situation.
Warner – Robert’s ill son, whose condition is the driving force behind Robert’s descent.
