Your Tomboy Bestie | Behind the Scenes: Drafts, Unused Renders & Alternative Designs

Here's a fun look behind the curtain... some of the material I’ve created for Your Tomboy Bestie that never made it into the actual comic.

My process is pretty brutal and very “subtractive.” I generate way more stuff than I end up using, and near the end I start cutting anything that doesn’t fit the story’s flow or just isn’t strong enough.

Some renders actually look pretty good on their own, but they just don’t belong in the final episode. A lot of them get cut because of wardrobe choices. I test a ton of different outfits, and honestly… most of them look ridiculous or straight-up terrible.

Some of the renders here were produced as part of the process of designing the character.
