At long last, I got this chapter done.
I'm not sure why it was so hard to write, except that getting the interaction between Talla and Tara just right felt vital to the entire project.
That said, the Pilgrims finally reach the first City of the Temples of Women, the place where the gods made the first Goddess, and they find themselves... not celebrated?
Anyway, read and enjoy! I think I know where I'm going now, as the next few chapters are well understood.
