💬 A Little Rant from a Frustrated Model
I truly love every photographer I’ve had the honor of working with. I’m so grateful when people share the results of our shoots — every message, every file, every photo means a lot to me. I really do appreciate the effort every single time. ❤️
But…
I’m so tired.
After so many years of full-time modeling, I’ve reached a point where I can no longer remember every photographer’s name. It feels awful to admit, but most names now live only in my passive memory — meaning I’ll recognize them when I see them, but I can’t recall them on my own.
And here’s the part that drives me a little crazy:
📂 Nobody names the photo folders they send with the photographer’s name!
Every month, I receive around 20 folders. Every year, that’s about 200 — all named something like “Kate,” “Kate Ri,” or, in the best case, “Kate in [city name].”
And because of that, I can’t share so many beautiful images — simply because I don’t know who took them. My brain can only hold so many names and Instagram handles before it starts to glitch. 😅
So please — can we normalize including both names in the folder title?
Something like:
PhotographerName & ModelName – Location/Date
Ideally with social media tags too (but I know that might be asking for a miracle 😄).
It would make life so much easier for models and make sure photographers get the credit they deserve when their work is shared.
Thank you for listening to my little rant — and for caring about the small things that make creative collaborations smoother. 💛
Do you think this is something we could start reminding each other of more often? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
