HELLOO, here I am! Finally got something to show you. So, I mentioned making changes to the comic-tier of Patreon. So at the moment you get 1-2 minicomics a month.Well, before that, let me just say. The longform comic, yeah? I thought about it, I sketched some of it. I mentioned it couple times.
It's impossible after all.
Hahaha! Yeah, sorry. I tried!! I just think Dogverse works best when it's selection of moments and events. Locking it (and me) into a set timeline was too restricting. I just don't enjoy the downtime of Dogverse. I want to get right into the good stuff!That being said (here's the actual point).
Sketching snippets of the longform comics made me really happy. It was fun, it was more challenging, I could do WAY more than with minicomics. So the minicomics are kinda retiring! I'm saving those to be an occasional collab with Carnaroe, that's already my favorite way to do them. Instead, I'd like to switch from "minicomic" style into an "episodic" style comic. I've worked on the first one, here's a snippet (one bubble is empty bc its a lil spoiler about the rest):
Doesn't this look more fun?! You'd like to read this, right? Right...? This particular episode would be 4ish pages long. I'm still learning making panel layouts for a vertical style comic, so the page count may still vary. Instead of the minicomics, you'd be getting either a complete, or partial episode each month. This is because I'd love to do longer episodes, too! But if it's like 12 pages, I can't do it in one month, I'd die. Next month, my plan is to give you the full episode of the comic seen above. Let me entice you with various panels from the scrapped longform comic while I yap just a lil more. These would/could make a reappearance as episodes!
I'm also open to one page each week kinda deal if it's what you guys prefer, but let me say as a creator, I think these are way more enjoyable to read when there's as many pages as possible at once.

I wanted to say, these episodes I'm open to eventually uploading for free, too. Since it's more lore-oriented, I'd love for everyone to be able to enjoy it!
