As I continue to dig through the many things that I missed, I believe I forgot the original art development of some of the core characters. Now let me tell you this interesting story:
When Relic was VERY first starting my original artist partner couldn't keep up with the pace of writing as he was busily working on video games. I was fumbling through artists, trying to form a budget, figuring things out and I was lucky to catch a very famous artist at the right time. He liked my project a lot and helped with some concept work before Relic became too spicy for him to continue. So we talked and he was happy to help but asked not to be tagged, so now we have this AWESOME early development art for you to enjoy from a couple of years ago!
Karos came out of the gate pretty much done, there wasn't anything difficult to his style, but you can see how Sophie evolved to match her personality more. Yes, she's a librarian but she needed to look like she could learn to fight too. So obviously we made some adjustments, but I still love this.
I was also originally SUPER guarded about Sophie's boobies, but where's the fun in that? That's part of why it took so long to get these posted!
What do you guys think? fun to see the development path?
