A Very Special WIP Wednesday: Origin stories 2 Maria and Christopher (SFW)

Some of you already know that Maria's original design was not supposed to be redheaded. There's still some more secrets to tell about that down the road but here are the receipts!
This is the tale of TWO artists who helped with Maria. In my written stories, one of my coworkers read Maria's first story and loved it so much she made some fanart. By that time, the commissioned artist (should be obvious too but he asked to remain anonymous), had already finished the concept art.
When I saw the coworker's fanart I was like "this is really good" and my original partner said the same. I went back to the story and sure enough I forgot to describe Maria's hair color. I had to go back and do a re-color because it was so awesome, we couldn't ignore it.
The problem was, now I had a character who looked a lot like a certain Marvel character. This is how Relic characters end up with so many little but important details. I need the characters to be simple enough that they can be made into comics and video games but distinct and real. So Maria got a choker, left handedness, mini jacket and corset-style bodysuit, sexual freedom, and a gray boyfriend. What do you guys think about the development?
