I can't express how great this take on Jessie is. Jessie's outfit continues to evolve, and I think I might adopt this. When I originally designed her, what I locked in on was the petty thief theme. I wanted to have a simple, iconic look, so it was just cap, cigarette, yellow shirt, jeans, jacket. I don't recall exactly who, but one of my teammates switched the shirt to a halter-top and it was perfect. Now Mac gives us this wonderful turtleneck side-boob halter, and I think I might go with it.
Jessie's first comic is about to finish which she's not really the star of since she also stars alongside Sister Mercy. So many comic makers focus on what a hero can do rather than who they are and I try hard to avoid that. One of the fun ways was to give Jessie very little control over her powers and make her more human in being part villain. People have to have flaws, and Jessie only takes care of Jessie!
