Notes

Happy new years, everyone!

I'm glad to finally have done something with Claire, just as I finish my first ever playthrough of RE2:RE.

For 2026 I more or less want to keep the same trajectory as 2025 but with some specific aspects that I wish to refine:

Making my animations look better/finding my look

I can't say that this was ever NOT my goal. However, I feel that I'm at a point where I'm much less so fighting just to make something bareLy presentable and more so making it look a certain way that I find visually pleasing, as well as allowing for room to experiment more. I don't really have a vivid image of what my end goal would be in this regard. As it stands right now, I know what aspects I like and what I don't like. One thing I've found pretty inspiring relating to this is Warhammer 40k animations (both official and fan-made).

Release consistency

For 2025, my goal was to have a minimum of 4 animations out per calendar month. I'd say this goal was achieved roughly 90% of the time. However, the distribution of said releases could vary pretty wildly. I'm not a big fan of this as it both irks me a ton to go a while without making a release (heh) as well as it being unfair to different subscribers depending on when they subbed. This year, I want to make a better effort at alleviating this sort of dead air. At the moment this includes making my workflow more efficient as well as making the occasional, relatively short animation. I should note, however, that this will not be at the determent of the quality of my animations. Of course the inevitable delay with getting stuffed voiced or having tech issues is almost certain as well, but I'll try.

Being better at narratives/storytelling

Whilst I've never really had any prior experience animating before this endeavor, storytelling is something that I can't even imagine anything adjacent to that I've even been remotely familiar with aside from occasional schoolwork. I don't think I'm particularly good at writing or pacing, and I hope to improve in this regard for this year. Giving characters life is something that matters a lot to me and I feel like this is an important aspect of that.

Animating characters I haven't done before/Nicher characters

Kind of self-explanatory.

Gratitude

To end, I want to thank everyone for the immense amount of support I've gotten this past year. I feel like there's a ton to critique in my animations that I hope to remedy over time, but knowing that so many people still enjoy them feels like a great disparity to have. I just want to deliver the best animations I can make. That's all.
