Waiting on Weighting. (idenTitties)

DESCRIPTION

Heavy sigh while I heft. Every breathe, a quiver in their wide weight.

There’s a strange kind of grief in realizing something probably isn’t stopping.

Not “probably” in the dramatic internet ragebait way.Not even “omg they grew half an inch this week.”

I mean medically.

Clinically.

Quietly. Growing.

The kind where doctors stop using words like reduction and start using words like management.

That’s where I’m at now. Mammary management.

I have a new specialist. The appointment immediately felt different before I even got called in. The waiting room itself felt weirdly symbolic somehow. Me sitting there in oversized clothes, trying to look smaller out of instinct, while my chest spread across my lap like full bags of warm pudding.

My newest bra snapped three days ago.

Snapped. the straps snapped from their new weight.

No movie sound effect. No explosive launch.

Just a soft little tkkt sound underneath my hoodie while I was walking through Target, followed by that horrible sinking realization that the weight distribution had changed and I'd be holding them in my arms until I got back to the car. Thank god my partner is supportive. At every shopping trip. At every doctors appointment. Always smiling and reminding me its okay. It'll be okay. When I'm updated by medical professionals that they still haven't slowed down it doesn't always feel like it will be.

In the waiting room, arms folded over myself, trying to keep things contained while also pretending I wasn’t actively containing them. The paper forms asking for my “occupation”. I get panicky.

What is my occupation now?

Writer?Content creator?Professional mammary archivist?

How do you explain:“I document my own continuous breast growth online because it became impossible not to.”

How do you explain that this stopped feeling temporary years ago?

For a long time every appointment felt like an alarm bell.

Blood tests.Hormone panels.Measurements.Photos.

More specialists saying:“I'm sorry to say this but, they've defiantly grown, and your hormones are still elevated even with the meds.”

Like thank you doctor, I hadn't noticed my BOOBS are in my LAP now. thx.

But this new doctor feels different.

Not dismissive. Not weirdly fascinated. She's trying to “fix” me... or them.

She basically sat me down and said:“Okay. If this is your body’s long-term reality… then we need to help you live comfortably and thrive inside it.”

And honestly?

That hit me harder than any growth update ever has.

Because I think some part of me was still emotionally treating this like a temporary glitch. Like eventually somebody in a white coat would hit the “off” switch and I’d wake up from The Mammary Event™. Instead I’m sitting in a specialist's office discussing weight-bearing strategies for my own chest like I’m livestock, bred for a trait nobody thought through completely. A metaphoric pug, created for its looks, not taking account for the fact that it will have trouble breathing.

A pudding breasted purebred. Approaching mobility issues with no slow in sight.

And my body keeps choosing this.

Aggressively.Efficiently.Almost impressively.

And now apparently:densely.

That was the days adventure.

Because the new specialist wants to actually weigh them separately now.

Not estimate.

Weigh.

Also estimate though >.< they are too heavy to weigh easily. Scan.

Apparently once things reach a certain size, breast weight itself starts becoming medically relevant enough to track independently for spinal strain, circulation issues, posture collapse, nerve compression, and fatigue.

So now this is my life.

Waiting on weighting.

I laughed when Dr. Bellamy told me they’d be doing some imaging, x-rays, and tissue volume estimation for next time.

Not because it was funny exactly.

Just because there’s something absurd about hearing your boobs described with the same terminology people use for cargo capacity and geological surveys.

She said it all so casually too.

Like:“Yes, we’ll find gland vs fat distribution and track structural impact over time.”

Structural impact.

Ma’am.Those are my breasts.

Sitting there waiting to have my boobs weighed felt bizarrely emotional.

Not sexy. Not empowering. Not even fully humiliating.

Dr. Bellamy had my older measurement summaries pulled up during the appointment too.

Which is honestly one of the more psychologically strange experiences a person can have.

Seeing your body reduced into charts and progression data like rainfall statistics or coastline erosion.

December’s numbers were already bad enough.

30 inch underbust.Nearly 60 inches standing.Over 63 leaning forward.

And according to the assisted scale estimates, around 38 pounds total.

Thirty-eight.

Just writing that still feels fake to me somehow.

Like there should be an error message after it.Or a timpani drum playing?

38 pounds of boob should not exist... and that was in DECEMBER.

The weirdest part is how normalized the numbers become once they keep climbing. At first every increase felt shocking. Emotional. Catastrophic even. Now Doctors says things to me like

“another few pounds of progression”

with the same tone someone might use discussing seasonal allergies.

Meanwhile I’m sitting there effectively carrying a 5 gallon bucket of boob in water weight...

No wonder my posture is more bosom based every couple weeks!.

And seeing the old data next to newer estimates was unsettling in a very specific way. Not because the growth was sudden anymore, but because it wasn’t. The progression looked steady. Methodical. Like my body had fully committed to this direction years ago while my brain was still hoping it would randomly stop out of politeness.

Yeah.... 42.3 pounds. I can't even unpack that right now...

I think that’s part of why this specialist feels emotionally different.

The older appointments always felt focused on:“How much do they weigh now, Why is this happening?”

Dr. Bellamy feels more focused on:“How do we keep you functional while it continues?”

Which somehow feels both comforting and devastating at the same time.

Just… surreal. My breasts honestly could have had this check up without me.

My overall weight hasn't gone up either. That’s part of why this whole thing still feels visually uncanny to me. I still look relatively slim in most places and then suddenly there’s just… them.

Like my proportions up top are rendered for a much MUCH bigger woman.

Sometimes I catch myself staring downward and feeling this weird disconnect.

Thinking less:“Are they growing?”

and more:

How long can I stand before my lower back locks up?

What sleeping positions reduce numbness in my arms?

How much compression is supportive versus dangerous?

How do we prevent permanent shoulder grooving?

What exercises keep my spine from turning into warm linguini?

It’s weirdly grounding, honestly.

Still sad sometimes.Still absurd.Still physically exhausting.

But grounding.

Like… okay.

This is not a battle I’m winning or losing anymore.

This is just my ecosystem now. Breast.

And weirdly?Removing the fantasy of “fixing it tomorrow” has made me calmer. Not happier exactly. Just… less at war with them.

There’s also this deeply awkward social thing that happens now whenever someone asks me:“So what do you do?”

And I freeze for a second.

Because what am I supposed to say?

That I document my breast growth online month to month because it became impossible not to? That my body turned into this strange medical-social-performance-art situation and now writing about it is both my coping mechanism and my income?

Most people expect:teacher.designer.nurse.accountant.

Not:“I chronicle the slow expansion of my own body while trying not to mentally drift away from it.”

And the weirdest part is…

it’s true.

This really is my life now.

Doctor visits.Measurements.Compression.

Diet...Writing updates.Trying to make jokes before they get too existential and all surrounding.

Sometimes I feel like my entire adulthood got rerouted around my chest. Like everybody else continued developing normal identities while mine got swallowed by these two endlessly expanding physical circumstances (idenTitties). Not even in a sexy way half the time. More in a “human biology having a glitch” kind of way.

The funniest part is that my breasts themselves seem completely unbothered by any of this.

They continue onward. No guilt. Just growth. No concern for infrastructure.

Meanwhile I’m over here researching ergonomic seating and asking engineer fans about bra structure ideas.

I don’t know.

I think I used to write these updates hoping somebody would finally explain why this was happening.

Now I think I’m writing them because I’m learning how to keep existing while it does.

Thanks for reading another long one.
