Weekly Development Update - 22.03.2026
1 / 2
DESCRIPTION

This week I have made the very last render for this update. It was an image of Emily going mad from losing too much Sanity. Basically the Game Over screen. I have made it pretty lenient and you need to get Emily's Sanity to the negatives three times in order to actually reach Game Over. It should be pretty easy to stay on top of Emily's Sanity and never let her reach zero. There are no hidden drains on Sanity that are not telegraphed before starting an event. Each lewd scene that would drain Emily's Sanity has a label before hand telling you exactly how much Sanity will that event drain. The events that are forced onto the player without their input either have this sanity drain removed or if Emily's Sanity dips bellow zero during this event, it won't trigger this game over.

I have been finalizing every aspect of the game for the upcoming update. It seems that everything should be ready for the release on Friday (27.03.2026). I have done some play testing as well and found numerous bugs, typos and all that fun stuff that needs to be polished. Of course I will not catch everything, so please let me know if there are any problems and i will fix them as soon as possible.

I also want to mention one specific thing. Saves from previous versions will probably break. More to the point, future updates will probably break saves too, so please use the chapter feature that was specifically made to combat these issues. Think of it as a pre-made save at the end of a previous chapter. This way I don't have to hunt down million little things that might break and it gives me more control over the whole update process.

Also I want to mention that even though I have posted here a lot of preview images from the upcoming update over the last months, there are some scenes that I have posted no images from. I want to keep some semblance of mystery and surprise left alive and not to spoil everything that will be in the update. I am still very much trying to find that balance between showing too much and spoiling the game vs. showing nothing interesting in these Weekly Development Updates. Please let me know if you have any feedback on that front.
