This week I have started writing the first dialogue for the events for the new update. My goal is to make the events fairly similar in length as they have been in past versions. Meaning that each event shouldn't take more then several minutes to read through. As there will be a lot of events in the next update this process will probably take several weeks. Even though I have made the actual quests and structure for more events that are needed for the next update, I will only write dialogue for the events that will actually be in the next update in order to make the wait time for the next version somewhat manageable.
I have started with the dialogue for the Wizard Tower where Emily will seek the help of an Old Wizard. These quests will be tied not only to the overall narrative but also to some mechanics as well. As you might have noticed at the Lord's Altar there's already an option to use 'Orbs of Purification' to cleanse Emily's Mental Break points. With the introduction of the Wizard Tower in the next update there will be a repeatable way to acquire these orbs through a simple activity.
With these events in the Wizard's Tower I want to create a new twist on how Emily will be corrupted. That will be done through the new character and her story arc. And as it will be literally impossible to post any previews of the future events in the Wizard's Tower without mentioning the new character, there is no point for keeping her name a secret. The Wizard's apprentice is an young elf named Ryna (pronounced like 'Reena' /ˈriːnə/) and she will be very useful for Emily and her quest of finding Kira. These events in the Wizard's Tower with Ryna and Emily will mainly revolve around magic and casting spells. And I strongly believe I will be able to deliver new and exciting scenes and scenarios while exploring this particular theme.
